Job Summary:

The College of St. Scholastica (CSS) is seeking to fill an undergraduate faculty position to teach courses for the Management and Business Studies Department. This is a nine-month position in the undergraduate program. Faculty rank, tenure option and salary are negotiable based on terminal degree and experience. The teaching load for full-time faculty is three, four-credit courses per semester over two semesters for a total teaching load of 24 credit hours. The selected applicant will develop and teach undergraduate business courses offered during the day on the Duluth Campus.

Key Results/\Responsibilities:

  • Teach required courses for the undergraduate business programs. Additional responsibilities include advising, recruiting majors, curriculum planning and assessment; internship supervision; research and scholarly activities; college and community service.
  • A successful candidate will regularly participate in professional development activities related to teaching skills, technology use, and diversity and inclusion in higher education.

Required Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in business-related discipline with at least 15 graduate credits in accounting, finance, economics, or management AND three or more years of professional experience in accounting, finance, economics, or management.

  • Demonstrated ability to learn and use new technologies

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and/or teach quantitative business concepts to people outside the field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience teaching or effectively communicating interpretation and analyses of financial statements and/or investments.

  • Experience teaching undergraduate classes.

  • Terminal degree or ABD in a business-related field.

  • CPA, CMA, CFA or similar certification.

  • Ability to teach in person, on-line or hybrid courses as conditions require.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
