About this Position:
The Assistant Manager, Auto Sales Training supports training efforts (for both Honda and Acura) that educate Dealers and Consumers on AHM products and technologies.
This position assists in managing the design and implementation of all dealer product training and communication initiatives such as: Full Model Launches (FMC), Minor Model Changes (MMC), Mid-Cycle Product Updates, Initial Quality Study (IQS) Initiatives, Sales Consultant Skills Training, New Dealer Orientation, as well as pertinent brand related news, updates, & launches. These initiatives are deployed via a combination of various channels, such as: In-Dealership training, Market-Based training, Web Based training, Mobile Based training, District Manager training, Digital training, AcuraInfoCenter.com, HondaInfoCenter.com, Web Conference training, etc. These training efforts are designed to improve Sales Consultant knowledge and skills which lead to increased sales, customer satisfaction and retention. The goal is to improve consumer understanding of product technologies and features leading to an improved ownership experience. The candidate is expected to have first-hand knowledge of all Acura & Honda products and features.
The Sales Training scope of work affects approximately 270 Acura & 1100 Honda dealers and over 18,000 Sales Consultants. The content which developed is also used in various channels to communicate directly with owners and consumers seeking more product information. This position assists & manages the creation, publication, implementation, and maintenance of the following assets:
Web-Based Product Training modules for Sales Consultants (22+ Acura & 40+ Honda)
Manage & Integrate Dealer Recognition (Consultant & Dealer) Programs with Sales Training initiatives.
Online University (OLU) - Learning Management Tool via the Interactive Network
AcuraInfoCenter.com
Acura & Honda Competitive Comparison information verses primary competitors (all models)
Walk-Around Videos educate Sales Consultants on proper delivery methods, vehicle technologies, etc. (Acura & Honda) Website Maintenance: HondaInfoCenter.com and AcuraInfoCenter.com website assets
Mobile training applications for iPhone/Android
Occasional on-camera or voiceover talent may be required.

Responsibilities include:
Assist and Manage Acura & Honda training activities related to FMC/MMC (Full Model/Minor Model Change) models. Deliver training & IQS solutions that educate both Consumers & Dealers on AHM products, signature technologies - maintain correlation with SP team members.
Promote Sales Consultant retention and motivation by assisting the Council of Sales Leadership/Excellence group for both Honda and Acura.
Support other departments and divisions: Sales, Marketing, PR, CR, Parts/Service, & Finance.
Support digital training resources such as AcuraInfoCenter.com, HondaInfoCenter.com, etc.
Support and guide Rotational Asst. Mgrs. With developing internal relationships and understanding the Training Development and SP Processes.
Who we are seeking:
Required Work Experience:
5+ years of Automotive Industry experience
In-depth Knowledge of Automotive Technology
Expert understanding of Field & Dealer operations
Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree
Honda associate professional development courses
Desired skills:
Ability to build and maintain relationships with Zone and Dealer personnel
Ability to communicate and interact with all levels of management
Public and on-camera presentation skills
Ability to effectively manage business partner relationships
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
Excellent organizational and communication skills
