The Assistant Director, Football Operations serves as key team member of the management team in organizing, planning, managing, and supervising services for the University's football program. The incumbent functions as a leader in the coordination of team travel, fall camp, and summer camps. Additionally, an employee in this position organizes and coordinates relationships with outside interests to support programs, activities, and day-to-day operations. Moreover, the Assistant Director, Football Operations exercises authority and accountability when responding to inquiries and resolving complex issues.
CORE JOB FUNCTIONS
Develops, monitors, and manages the program activity budgets, contracts, and logistics associated with football travel and events.
Supervises and evaluates performance of staff.
Ensures that all project activities are completed in a timely fashion.
Supports all the football coaches in the operations of the football department.
Acts as liaison to the Athletics Department.
Manages football event logistics. Evaluates written materials, such as policies and procedures, and recommends improvements.
Follows NCAA, Conference, and University rules and regulations.
Establishes and continuously assesses the effectiveness of the internal controls within the unit and compliance with University policies and procedures.
Ensures employees are trained on controls within the function and on University policy and procedures.

DEPARTMENT ADDENDUM
Department Specific Functions
The Assistant Director of Football Operations is responsible for assisting the Director of Football Operations with the coordination, management, and oversight of all football administrative support operations.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist Director of Football Operations in day-to-day management and quality control of football program and support staff
Manage RSVP list and check-in process of practice visitors
Assist with the planning and operation of the Mario Cristobal Football Camps
Aid in the planning and preparation for team travel
Advance all away trips
Coordinate and manage reimbursements for defensive coaching staff and operations department
Direct and manage assigned volunteers/student workers
Coordinate and manage hourly operations volunteer schedule
Manage use & maintenance of football golf carts
Assist with keeping the Teamworks database up to date
Assist with keeping staff Google Calendar up to date
Assist with maintaining checks schedules (meals, bed check during camp, etc)
Coordinate the creation of the bowl manual
Coordinate Football Awards Show
Coordinate and lead effort to make sure all football players have filled out the FASFA, FRAG, & applied for health insurance
Maintain building access database including addition of fingerprints to system
Keep player records up to date with the Director of Player Development
Assist with signee processing
Responsible for the inventory & ordering of all office and coffee supplies
Greet all guests and visitors as needed
Aid in the on-boarding of new football staff members
Responsible for maintaining compliance with NCAA, Atlantic Coast Conference, institutional and departmental rules
All other duties as assigned by the Director of Football Operations
