Position Summary
The intercollegiate athletics program is an integral part of the university striving to achieve the same standards of excellence in athletics that exist within academic programs. The program is concerned with the physical and mental welfare of the student and strives to ensure that every athlete has the opportunity to succeed academically and obtain a degree.
Sport programs are a vital function of the University at large. The position assists in the coordination of athletic events and facilities and the implementation for successful programming.
Job Duties
1.Facility scheduling and preparation, including practice, events and special projects. (30%)
2.Event planning and implementation for athletic home and special events, which may include parking, security, game operations and customer service planning (30%)
3.Communicate and coordinate with campus constituents on all event needs, facility usage and maintenance (15%)
4.Recruit, hire, train, schedule, and supervise game day and event/operations staff (15%)
Prepare and submit employment paperwork, including hiring information and timesheets, for staff.
5.Liaison to coaches (UNC and visiting), officials, support staff for facility needs (10%)
6.Assist the Assistant AD - Facilities and Events with special projects and events
7.Coordinate and educate staff and students on the facility emergency management protocols and procedures.
8.Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
Experience:
One (1) year of experience in athletic event and/or facility management at the collegiate or professional level
Thorough knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations
Certification/Registration/Licensing:

Knowledge and adherence to NCAA, Conference, State, Institutional, and Department rules and regulations
Strong written, oral and computer knowledge

This position is contingent on funding from the Colorado State Legislature, approval by the Board of Trustees, and subject to the policies and regulations of the University of Northern Colorado.
