FP1 Strategies, a public affairs and political consulting firm based in Arlington, VA, is looking for an Associate to join its growing team.

We are seeking an extremely motivated, self-starting individual to handle war-room and media monitoring responsibilities for a major corporate client. Applicants should have great attention to detail and be willing to work long, flexible hours.

Working under the Research Director, the Associate will:

  • Provide the client with morning daily news clips
  • Provide the client with real-time news alerts
  • Compile media reports on multiple topics as requested by the client


Qualified applicants should:

  • Have 0-1 years of experience in public relations, communications or a related field, including internships
  • Be quick and efficient learners
  • Have experience in juggling multiple tasks and adhering to strict deadlines
  • Demonstrate a basic understanding of the news cycle
  • Show tremendous attention to detail
  • Possesses excellent people skills and ability to work with a wide variety of personalities
  • A desire to get the job done, and done well, each and every day
