The Associate Producer will serve the 2U creative team and report to the Multimedia Manager. This position is responsible for helping the Producer with planning and directing photography and video shoots; hiring and managing crew and talent; sourcing locations, equipment, and catering; communicating brand and project messaging, and ensuring the delivery of assets to editors for post-production. This position will also be responsible for some video and photo production and post-production.
The creative team is a collection of energetic and ambitious individuals who are dedicated to producing the highest quality marketing communications and branded creative assets for our partner programs. Our team produces marketing assets that span across all phases of production for videos, animations, and photography.

You may submit an e-portfolio, website, reel, or relevant documents such as call sheets and production packets. Include information about your role in each or key project's production.
Key Role and Responsibilities:
Produce video and photoshoots.
The bulk of this job is producing video shoots and photoshoots that support marketing efforts across 2U partner programs.
You will assist the multimedia team Producer to plan, organize, and produce all necessary elements of shoots that often involve travel. Required responsibilities include:
Hiring/recruiting talent (actors, models, professors/deans, students, etc.)
Hiring crew (photographer, videographer, grip, hair/makeup, etc.)
Scheduling shoots to accommodate crew and talent, while meeting project deadlines
You will also be responsible for ensuring that deliverables from in-house and freelance photographers and videographers are on time, organized, and distributed to the appropriate stakeholders at the close of a project.
Serve as a creative media specialist for the 2U marketing team.
When required, you will work on media projects in a non-production capacity. This is not the main work for this position, but you are expected to have experience and flexibility to complete creative work across different types of media. This may include:
Brainstorming shot lists for photographic and video opportunities.
Creating compelling media for social channels, advertising, websites, and emails.
Shooting and editing video footage or photos of immersions, graduations, and other university partner events.
Layering mixed media such as music, dialogue, graphics, and effects to create dynamic videos or animations.
Creating rough and final cuts followed by standard exporting/converting files to various formats while maintaining an organized system.
Collaborate with the creative team and other marketing stakeholders as you strategically analyze and interpret briefs and brand needs, and present concepts that fulfill project needs.
Act as an artistic and production consultant to all marketing stakeholders.
Work from a creative brief to grasp brand and client needs and specifications.
Learn how to pitch concepts and clearly convey rationales to marketing and external stakeholders.
Work with designers and writers to maintain the brand identities and content strategies of our partner brands.
Manage multiple projects and remain flexible through revisions while maintaining keen attention to detail.
Continue to learn software and tools to better produce media for all marketing assets.
Continuously discover new technologies and skills to maximize efficiency.
Work with the team to understand changing industry standards and strategize for different types of video and media content.
Learn new skills that can broaden the capabilities of the team.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree required.
Minimum 1-3 years industry experience or freelance producing experience.
With a portfolio, demonstrate media-making capabilities across a wide range of media.
Skills that include budgeting and considering cost-effective expenses; productions and leading crew; prioritization, multi-tasking, and organization of day-to-day work.
Proficiency with videography and photography, including knowledge of all relevant camera and lighting equipment.
Experience with digital technology, FX, and editing software packages (e.g., After Effects, Final Cut Pro, Premiere, Audition, Photoshop, and Illustrator).
Sense of visual composition, motion, and storytelling.
Ability to work collaboratively while remaining open to feedback and art direction.
Calm, flexible, and able to work under pressure or with short deadlines.
