Essential Duties & Functions
Serve as the primary point of contact for agent inquiries following account binding.
Manage inspection processes:
Review inspection reports for any inconsistencies or material changes from the application and policy.
Ensure compliance with recommendations and monitor policy adherence.
Follow up on actions resulting from discrepancies, as necessary.
Handle endorsements:
Assess monetary and non-monetary endorsements and cancellations according to policy conditions.
Ensure timely and accurate processing of cancellations in compliance with state regulations and policy terms.
Coordinate and oversee all Broker of Record (BOR) changes with agency partners.
Conduct timely follow-ups on the review and maintenance of loss runs for renewal processes.
Provide support in the current term exposure endorsement process resulting from prior term premium audits.
Proactively follow up on unproductive premium audits to ensure timely resolution and appropriate action.
Communicate with agents, brokers, and clients to request additional information or clarification as needed.
Manage ImageRight system, including file labeling, organization, and task execution within established timelines.
Provide support to the Post Issuance Team, as required.
Participate in company projects as needed.
Attend industry-specific or company-sponsored seminars and courses, and engage in continuing education as required.
Participate in underwriting meetings and events.
Build and foster relationships with agent partners, underwriters, and stakeholders.
Proactively communicate findings and collaborate closely with the underwriting team, fostering a partnership-oriented approach to achieve common goals.
Qualifications
1-2 years of experience in an underwriting department of an insurance company; college degree preferred.
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in working in a Windows-based environment with a working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and internet applications.
Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and work accurately with detailed information.
Capable of working both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with producers through telephone conversations and electronic correspondence.
Completion of insurance-related coursework is beneficial.
