Associate Technical Sales Specialist

Employee Responsibilities:

EAG Laboratories is a world leading independent analytical services provider. EAG specializes in surface analysis, microscopy and materials characterization to support high technology industries. We are looking for an Associate Technical Sales Specialist to join our fast growing organization. In the role, the individual would be responsible for:

  • Lead qualification: Responding to customer inquiries and evaluating leads

  • Identifying good sales opportunities and qualifying them

  • Identifying customer needs and presenting proposals and quotes

  • Supporting the Senior Technical Specialists for in depth understanding of customer needs

  • In addition, supports Commercial team with follow ups with clients/customers and report feedback.

  • Develop technical knowledge of broad range of analytical methods. It is essential that the person in this position has a positive attitude towards all customers and thrives in a team environment.

Use of information in this role is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All accepted applicants must be U.S. Persons as defined by ITAR: U.S. Person is a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e., "Green Card Holder"), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

The Ideal Candidate would possess:

  • 2+ years previous sales, customer service or related experience in related technology space.

  • B.S. in Physics, Chemistry, or Materials Science.

  • Excellent written communication skills.

  • Strong analysis and judgment skills.

  • Able work individually and as part of a team.

  • Strong excellent relationship-building skills.

  • Computer literate, high level of accuracy and detail oriented.

  • Must be able to handle multiple functions at the same time.

  • Maintain good organizational skills.

Responsibilities * Handle incoming product requests (questions, problems) directly from customers and track interactions in CRM * Take ownership of customer issues through to resolution - including troubleshooting, external and internal communication (email, phone, live chat), and providing meaningful feedback to the customer on a regular basis * Actively manage client support cases on a daily basis * Respond to client-reported issues in a timely manner and/or per service level agreements * Develop and maintain product expertise, including best practices to provide value to customers * Author and maintain internal and external product knowledge base articles * Build strong cross-functional relationships * May require work outside of normal business hours, holidays, and some weekends as this role is an on-call position Qualifications * 4 year BS degree required, Computer Science, Engineering or Math preferred * 1-3 years of prior experience in Technical Support or a helpdesk environment * High degree of proficiency in working with data in Excel * Passion for delivering outstanding customer experience * Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to empathize with customers with varying levels of technical ability * A natural investigator who can demonstrate analysis, problem solving and troubleshooting skills * Detailed, organized and results oriented, with a strong level of attention to detail * Ability to effectively prioritize and escalate customer issues as required, as well as being able to multi-task and perform effectively under pressure * Team player, enjoys working hard, exhibits professionalism, is dedicated to meeting and exceeding expectations * Highly desirable to have experience with making CRM (Salesforce) customizations * Bonus to have professional programming/scripting experience, experience with Microsoft Exchange, and/or configuring SSO * Experience with JSON or other structured data format Why Clari?
