This position is within our Collections department.

The responsibilities of this role could include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for providing the daily supervision and work direction for a small team of Collectors.

  • Directs staff in the efficient resolution of credit card collections in order to reduce exposure and loss and maintain delinquency and loss ratios that are consistent with bank standards.

  • Determines appropriate distribution of accounts among Collectors based on degree of difficulty, volume and loan type. Directly or through staff, works with delinquent customers to avoid further delinquency.

  • Assists in developing policies and procedures to provide for more efficient collection processes.

  • Supervisory functions include leading and directing a staff of approximately 4-8 agents, evaluating employee performance and making salary recommendations, performing all aspects of the staffing process including recruiting, interviewing, and hiring staff to ensure appropriate hiring practices and maintain staffing levels, staff training, and providing work direction.

The schedule we are looking to fill could vary but will likely include 2-3 day shifts combined with 2-3 night shifts during a 5-day work week. You will be asked to work rotating weekends.

Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • One or more years of operations experience in the financial services industry

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Working knowledge of operation functions, systems, policies and procedures for the assigned area

  • Basic knowledge of computer applications and/or the equipment used in the assigned area

  • Good organizational and problem-solving skills

  • Well-developed customer relations skills

  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and deadlines simultaneously

  • Basic knowledge of banking operations and human resources

  • One or more years of supervisory experience preferred
