We are seeking Tax/Audit Associates for our Yakima, WA office. As an Associate, you will provide audit and tax services to clients, with a primary focus on developing expertise within a specific industry. You will utilize your accounting educational background and internship experience to assist in all stages of an engagement or project; most commonly review engagements, procedures engagements, or basic tax issues, providing support and leverage to seniors and others.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs the detail work of audits, reviews, some compilations, and other assurance service for clients.

  • Collects and analyzes data to detect deficient controls, duplicated effort, fraud, or non-compliance with laws, regulations, and management policies.

  • Supports multiple client engagements on time and within budget, identifying issues and communicating progress and audit results to supervisors.

  • Prepares and reviews tax returns with the tax team.

  • Handles routine client tax questions and works with client to collect necessary information for tax return completion and compliance.

  • Completes tax related research and special projects as needed.

  • Gains experience, exposure, and knowledge in one or more industries.

  • Expands industry knowledge through greater exposure to peers, internal experts, clients, regular self-study, and formal training opportunities.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Passion for doing impactful work, accountability for actions, initiative to make visions a reality, integrity that places honesty and trust above all else, professionalism, and conscientiousness.

  • General knowledge of accounting principles and/or regulations impacting each engagement or project, financial markets, analysis and reporting of financial data.

  • Experience with Pfx Fixed Assets, GoFileRoom, Pfx Engagement, Pfx Tax, preferred.

  • Proficient with Microsoft (MS) Windows and Office products.

  • Previous accounting internship preferred.

  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel to client sites.

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • Working to obtain CPA designation. Eligible to sit for the exam.

Position Description Position Title: Construction Management/Engineering Summer intern Pipeline Level: Self Reports To: Construction Manager FLSA Status: Non-exempt Direct Reports: None Department/Division: Construction/NW Prepared Date: 01/2019 Requisition: 148813 Position Overview These are entry level internships/trainee positions working to gain further experience in the construction field. Regular visits to the field may be required to examine projects and/or test materials. The positions involve supporting and working under a manager to prepare for a career in the industry. Types of internships may include, but are not limited to: * Construction Management * Engineering * Quality Control (Essential duties and functions will varying depending on internship type) Coordinate with agencies and traffic control subcontractors * Assist in preparation and setup of job site work * Coordinate work with subcontractors * Assist with generating change orders * Assist in tracking daily subcontract and prime contract quantities * Participate in production meetings * Provide ongoing project supervision * Coordinate with superintendents * Attend construction meetings with owners, utilities and subcontractors * Perform grade checks * Assist with job quantity measurements * Assist with final billing quantity measurement * Plan, schedule, and coordinate work groups on the jobsite * Supervise field operations * Learn Estimating and Bid Tracking Software * Learn to read specifications and plans * Assist with reviewing and analyzing data relative to a project, incorporating various productions and costs appropriate in preparation of a bid * Complete material and quantity takeoffs * Perform various tests on aggregate production, asphalt mix, and ready-mix concrete: gradation, moisture, oil content, density, and strength * Material sampling: plant and field * Layout, fabrication, assembly * Coordinate work of sub-trades and suppliers * Mine plans * Planning and zoning * Environment reviews and inspections * Support the safety goals and processes of the company * Spend time in field operations * Other duties as assigned by supervisor Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
