The Role in Brief:

Associate Strategic Analyst

The Strategic Analysis team is focused on optimizing partner campaigns and creating impactful program-level reporting and presentations for our partner services and sales teams, leveraging what we know across the marketplace for the benefit of each individual partner and better enabling EAB to achieve each partner's stated enrollment goals. As an Associate Strategic Analyst, you will gather, analyze, and interpret campaign results and other market factors to measure the effectiveness of direct marketing programs and partner performance, providing proactive audience and marketing recommendations to generate the greatest return on investment.

At EAB, Associate Strategic Analysts work on one of three teams:

  • Our Enroll360 Team utilizes an ecosystem of best-in-class enrollment solutions to help colleges and universities expand their reach and engage more right-fit students

  • Our Adult Learner Recruitment Team combines strategic support with custom lead generation and responsive, choreographed marketing campaigns at scale to help partners meet graduate and adult enrollment goals

  • Our Advancement Team delivers to partners a personalized donor experience, increased levels of giving, and expands the advancement staff productivity

This role is open to candidates in Richmond, VA or Washington, D.C. Team placement is determined by business need at time of hire.

Primary Responsibilities:

In conjunction with partner services, develop marketing strategies from an audience and product standpoint, providing customized campaign recommendations to achieve partners' short and long-term goals. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Provide data-driven, audience selection recommendations for use in marketing campaigns

  • Provide proactive analytical and monitoring support to partner-focused account teams; diagnose and identify immediate improvement and up-sell opportunities

  • Clearly communicate campaign performance results to account teams and management; develop comprehensive partner presentations to create compelling, holistic analysis which demonstrates EAB's value and ROI

  • Use a variety of statistic, analytic, data visualization tools to project, monitor, report campaign strategy outcomes

  • Utilize data visualization tools to create reports and dashboards

  • Serve as analysis thought leader in internal partner services meetings

  • Understand the higher education landscape and leading practices in direct & digital marketing as well as EAB's products and services utilizing a data-driven approach to achieving unique institutional goals of our higher education partners

  • Perform other related responsibilities as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in an analytically related field (e.g., mathematics, statistics, engineering, computer science, economics, business, etc.)

  • Demonstrated ability to think analytically and conceptually

  • Experience developing compelling presentations and communicating insights to inform and influence business decisions

  • Experience conducting analyses (medium agnostic)

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written, and persuasive communication skills

  • Strong demonstration of deductive reasoning

  • Experience conducting analyses using Excel

Ideal Qualifications:

  • Professional or educational background in analysis of marketing programs or higher education

  • Experience in a direct marketing environment

  • Experience using data visualization tools, such as Tableau, MicroStrategy or ESRI

  • Self-starter with a real drive for impact and an entrepreneurial mindset

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written, and persuasive communication skills

  • Solid technical database knowledge and experience applying SQL concepts

Compensation:

The anticipated starting salary range for this role is $49,500 - $57,500 per year. Actual salary varies due to factors that may include but not be limited to relevant experience, skills, and location. At EAB, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the starting salary range for their role.
