As part of QIAGEN Digital Insights team, you will be part of the team that builds world class QIAGEN Clinical Decision support software broadly used in clinical market for hereditary & somatic testing.
You will apply your knowledge of computer science, statistics, and NGS to analyze, improve, and develop clinical software. You will work and learn among an extraordinary set of peers: bioinformaticians, molecular biologists, and software engineers.
What you will do:
Build software & algorithms to improve the clinical decision software applications
Work on integrating & customizing the our applications to be integrated with external systems
Drive multi-omics development in a cross-disciplinary setting by analyzing and deriving insights from experimental data
Build software to support clinical interpretation for the new Assay panels built by QIAGEN, Illumina & other NGS players.
6+ years of experience in Java, REST, Spring Boot, Microservices
3+ years in distributed system, message systems, In memory database or Elasticsearch
Preferred: Develop and apply machine learning/deep learning algorithms for genomic and biomedical data, variant interpretation, detecting machine anomalies etc.
Excellent communication (written and verbal) and data presentation skills
Graduate degree in bioinformatics, statistics, computer science or a related discipline or experience in developing bioinformatics software for genomics application
Preferred: PhD in bioinformatics, statistics, computer science or a related field
