Job Summary

POSITION SUMMARY

The Associate Stability Coordination Scientist is a scientific quality control position which reports to Stability Management, whether by reporting to the Supervisor or to a Stability Lead Coordination Scientist. The position directly interfaces with laboratory personnel who generate data to be reported for stability studies. The position will support interdepartmental requests for stability summaries and/or information on stability studies.

Responsibilities

PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES PERFORMED BY THE INCUMBENT.

  • Administers the stability database and acts as gatekeeper for all data and information to be reported.

  • Assures accurate entry and scheduling of stability testing protocols into the stability database.

  • Responsible for the accurate distribution of stability samples into the stability chambers.

  • Responsible for physical inventory of stability samples and stability chamber monitoring.

  • Manages logistics of stability testing and results obtained from on-site and off-site laboratories.

  • Tracks stability testing through to completion and notifies management of past due items or compliance issues.

  • Performs checks and reviews of laboratory documentation to ensure error free reporting.

  • Ensures timely entry of reviewed stability data into the database.

  • Facilitates external requests for stability protocols, data, and summaries.

  • Organizes and maintains all stability files and associated data through archiving.

  • Establishes work priorities based on stability schedule, SOP requirements, and assignments within his/her authority.

REQUIREMENTS

  • At a minimum, a Bachelor of Science in a scientific discipline or Bachelor's degree with 1-3 years of experience in Quality Control.

  • Previous experience working in a team.

  • Flexibility, adaptability, and strong desire to work in a dynamic environment.

  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, deadline-oriented, innovative, and empowered personality.

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, interpersonal skills, and ability to multitask are essential for success.

  • Ability to perform light to moderate physical labor, at times briefly under conditions of extreme heat, cold, and humidity.
