Associate Software Development Engineer
The Associate Software Developer is responsible for software development of LUMEDX products and collaborates with other team members and cross-functional teams on software design and functionality within a team environment. This position will participate in the SDLC process between requirements to release and support.
Develops and documents software for LUMEDX products.
Collaborates with other members of the Product Development team on software development, particularly in terms of functionality, user experience, and technical design.
Develops software according to the LUMEDX SDLC process.
Participates in design and code reviews.
Manages deliverables according to approved project plans.
Participates in code maintenance, bug fixes, and various cross-functional roles with quality assurance.
Complies with all company polices and procedures.
Maintains a favorable working relationship with all company employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate.
BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or a related field of study from an accredited college or university or a combination of education and experience.
Educational, internship and/or work experience with the following:
managed OOP (i.e. C#/VB.NET or Java).
web programming and/or windows programming.
database programming (i.e. ADO/ADO.NET or JDBC).
database administration (i.e. SQL/SQL Server/Access or JDBC).
windows (registry, control panel, services etc.).
Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage workflow to meet deadlines.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to communicate well with both technical and non-technical people.
Demonstrated ability to read and interpret technical information.
Demonstrated ability to compose clear and concise technical written communication.
ADDITIONAL SOFTWARE/HARDWARE SKILLS:
Demonstrated ability to utilize Internet resources.
Demonstrated proficiency with personal computers in a Windows environment, including word processing and spreadsheet applications. MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and other related software programs preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit or stand for extended periods of time, operate a personal computer, visually inspect forms, conduct oral communication via telephone and in person, retrieve and return files in storage cabinets, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Employees are also expected to maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
