Responsibilities:

Leading multiple SEO and web analytics projects for clients

  • SEO project launch, management, reporting, analysis and optimization
  • Manage strategic deliverables with senior clients, internal teams and agency partners
  • Coordination with internal and external project management teams to implement SEO and web analytics
  • Management of 2-3 direct reports
  • Supervise SEO copy writing, research, reporting, recommendations, QA
  • Supervise Google Analytics implementation and QA
  • Supervise web analytics reporting and insights development
  • Develop presentations and presenting to clients
  • Client support and troubleshooting
  • Working with vendors, clients, partner agencies and internal team to complete projects
  • Helping to train support staff
  • Keep on top of developments in the search and analytics industry
  • Making sure all appropriate staff members get the right training and certifications
  • Help support new business initiatives pitches, etc.

Requirements

  • Strong SEO skills and minimum 5 years of SEO experience
  • Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager experience, certification a plus
  • Excellent writing, communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of Excel and Microsoft office programs
  • Excellent presentation/client interfacing skills
  • Good project management skills
  • Experience in managing and mentoring staff
  • Collaborative attitude
  • Team player
  • Pharma/healthcare experience a plus

Work as a Single Supportive Team Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is a critical channel within our business. It drives a significant portion of the revenue and profits for the organization, and the goal is to increase the volume of move-ins that contribute to revenue. The SEO Team manages traffic optimization across many properties and user segments. This team uses core data analysis and insights to drive enhanced interactions with the end consumer that translates into a better experience for the user and a successful outcome for the business. This position works cross-functionally with multiple internal departments, including Product & Technology, Business Intelligence, and Content. THE POSITION The SEO Manager has ownership of an individual web property and will work with multiple internal teams, including Content, Business Intelligence, Technology, & Product. Reporting into the Head of SEO and working with key members of the executive team, you will provide leadership and strategy for the direction of a web property, as well as being a collaborative partner to the overall team. You will always be striving to stay ahead of trends in search while identifying and forecasting future growth opportunities. As a SEO leader, you will establish standards and procedures to drive and hold accountable high-quality performance in SEO. Success in this role will lead to increased traffic and conversion, resulting in delivering on the company's financial goals. Who you are: You are a proven, passionate and outcome-driven individual, an expert at developing and executing comprehensive organic strategies that drive traffic and conversion. You will be experienced in data-driven SEO strategies, A/B testing, and possess a deep knowledge of all the functional areas of SEO (technical, content, local). You thrive working within and across teams to develop and implement business plans for emerging search opportunities. Responsibilities * Own the performance and success of the domain. Develop and execute comprehensive SEO strategy, informed by analytical assessment of opportunities, to deliver on company goals & drive long term growth. * Regularly monitor and report on domain performance and trends, including impact of strategies/initiatives to improve the site. * Drive development of dashboards and analyses needed to assess potential impact of initiatives, identify and understand drivers of performance, and measure progress against goals and success metrics. * Conduct comprehensive, regular SEO audits (across technical SEO, UX/UI elements, and content performance) to identify opportunities to improve performance and drive conversion and revenue. * Conduct keyword research, user behavior, and competitive analyses to identify current gaps and white space opportunities to better serve user's intent through enhanced content and page improvements. * Work cross-functionally with internal teams (including Technology & Product, Business Intelligence, Content) and SEO agencies to prioritize site improvement opportunities and A/B tests to enhance conversion. Develop associated roadmaps to: * Improve organic visibility across SERPs and their products such as Knowledge Panel, FAQs, People Also Ask, and Answer Box. * Implement SEO best practices to bring domain up to best in class technical SEO standards. * Maximize on site conversion of highest quality leads. * Collaborate with Content team to share recommendations on opportunities to enhance SEO value of content and determine implications for content roadmap; Collaborate with Product and Technology teams as a critical, integrated member of Software Development Lifecycle. * Analyze performance data from tests and site improvements to identify and implement further optimizations that increase ROI. * Translate granular, technical details into clear insights and communicate results and recommendations, both orally and in written form, to a non-technical executive audience through regular updates. * Prepare site for migration to new technology stack: * Inject SEO expertise into page redesigns. * Eliminate low value content, prepare structured data for new pages, and optimize redirects, etc. * Partner with supporting SEO agency to minimize traffic risk of decline. * Continuously improve SEO skillsets, staying up to date with shifts in the marketplace. * Be a mentor and leader to increase knowledge sharing across the team. Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Computer Science, Marketing, Advertising. * A minimum of 5 years of experience developing and implementing SEO strategies with full view of customer lifecycle. * Highly analytical, employing data-driven decision making in all aspects of managing the domain and demonstrating comfort with detailed analysis and data across sources to inform recommendations. * Enthusiasm for understanding the evolving best practices with regard to the technical aspects of crawling, indexing, ranking and driving qualified organic traffic. * Demonstrated understanding of mobile, video, local SEO. * Experience in the health/wellness, family and community verticals preferred. * Experience with keyword research, information architecture, search engine algorithms and ranking factors. * Deep knowledge of structured data schemas and rich snippets. Understanding of internal linking, keyword usage and semantic analysis. * Experience analyzing page, keyword, and content & site performance to develop prioritized roadmap to improve pages. * Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. * Experience with site crawlers and log file analysis. * Experience with a wide variety of SEO tools, including SEMRush, Conductor, Ahrefs, Majestic, Moz, Screaming Frog, AWR, DeepCrawl, Search Console, Google Analytics, Google Lighthouse, Bing WebMaster Tools as well as reporting platforms such as Amplitude or Mixpanel. * Conductor certification or experience preferred. * Experience developing and delivering executive level presentations on SEO strategies, plans and results. * Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to translate granular & technical understanding of the site and changes to it into executive level insights. * Team oriented, with demonstrated experience collaborating within and across teams to drive outcomes.
