Fidelity's Equity Division is responsible for managing more than 130 diversified mutual funds and more than 78 industry specific funds. Assets under management total approximately $879 billion.


The Associate Sector Specialist Intern will report to the Director of Sector Research. S/he will work closely with the Director, as well as with Sector Specialists and Analysts across a variety of sectors, playing a vital role in contributing to the investment performance of the firm.

The Associate Sector Specialist Intern will work closely with the Sector Specialists to provide general research support to the equity research Analysts and Associates on the investment teams. Responsibilities include gathering important industry data, graphing industry trends, streamlining data collection and processing, and helping with various projects to support stock-specific and industry presentations. The Associate Sector Specialist Intern will also work with industry sources, Wall Street contacts, and internal groups like technology data and systems support, market data, and research services as necessary in order to gain important insights, knowledge, and tools to provide the highest level of support to the research process.


We are seeking candidates who have the following characteristics:

  • Candidate must be in their sophomore year of college, graduating in 2021

  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem solving skills

  • The ability to work independently as well as in a team environment with multiple analysts

  • The ability to coordinate multiple projects

  • Experience in sourcing, manipulating, and presenting data

  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills including macros and an aptitude for technology

  • Experience (preferred) with financial databases like Bloomberg and FactSet

  • Demonstrated experience/interest/skill in quantitative analysis and research

  • The ability to work with external information sources (analysts, companies, consultants)

  • Demonstrated leadership or initiative in studies and extracurricular activities related to financial markets

  • Academic or intellectual interest in financial markets

  • Detail oriented

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and writing skills, as well as the ability to clearly articulate research findings

  • Hard working, eager to learn, and achievement/results-oriented

Position Summary The Aeronautics Department of the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) is searching for an Environmental Intern to work directly with our environmental team. The Aeronautics division and UASTC are leaders in the evaluation of the utility of drones as they apply to the DOT and throughout all Commonwealth agencies, and remain on the forefront of developing policy, procedures, and best practices for the use of drones to optimize cost, data quality, safety, and timeliness of business operations. This is a Summer internship running June through August. Duties & Responsibilities * Assist in overseeing airport environmental planning and permitting projects for the 36 public-use airports. * Provide edits and comments on airport master planning, airport environmental planning, and permitting documents, scopes of work, and cost estimates for various projects. * Attend airport environmental project group meetings, capital improvement plan meetings, and other airport environmental project-related meetings. * Assist in airport master planning projects and airport layout plan (ALP_ development from an environmental perspective. * Attend airport site visits related to permitting efforts and environmental planning. * Develop and process Requests for Responses (RFR) for statewide environmental projects. * Maintain project files for all airport environmental related projects, process payment requests, and update information in project management database. * Assist in the management of the Statewide Vegetation Management Program. * Enter all public records requests in the PRR database and prepare responses to all inquiries as instructed. * Assist with Statewide and airport related sustainability projects and programs. This internship may require travel to the 1 Harborside Drive, Boston, MA location.
