Job Description
Kite is seeking a highly motivated individual with analytical development and sample testing experience, to support an innovative cell therapy pipeline. The successful candidate will join the Analytical Testing and Logistics (ATL) team in Analytical Development and be responsible for reagent release and sample testing. The individual in the role will perform flow cytometry, immunoassay, cell culture, molecular assays, analyze and review experimental data, and carefully document work.
Responsibilities and Duties
Critical reagent preparation and release procedures to enable consistent reagent supply and method performance
Coordinate with Analytical Development teams on prioritizing reagent preparation and release
Tracking reagent and cell bank inventory, providing cross-training, user training on instruments, sample analysis and data analysis
Assist in reagent and method troubleshooting, as necessary
Contribute to analytical activities that support product understanding
Use good documentation practices (GDP) to document laboratory activities and ensure data integrity
Maintain accurate documentation of work and studies in an ELN
Assist in developing technical reports, writing, reviewing and editing technical documents
Maintain, calibrate and operate analytical equipment and instruments
Assist with laboratory administrative duties, including the maintenance of 5S
Additional responsibilities may be assigned to reflect changes in business model
Requirements
Additional Qualifications
2+ years flow cytometry/ELISA in academia or industry, including 4+ color flow cytometry experience
Technical expertise in instrument troubleshooting and proficiency with flow cytometry software such as FlowJo, FACSDiva, CytExpert etc.
Basic immunology knowledge, hands on experience in cell culture, knowledge in PCR, ELISA and cell sorting
Previous experience with cell therapy products, is a plus
Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Experience with JMP, is a plus.
Excellent communication skills, strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a matrix environment
Ability to collaborate and work cross-functionally in a matrix environment
The salary range for this position is: $112,710.00 - $145,860.00. Kite considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package.
