Freeman is seeking an Associate Scenic Designer to be responsible for schematic design through production and execution of face-to-face marketing experiences primarily for expositions, conventions, exhibit programs, and events. This position has regular interaction with clients, sales executives, and production professionals in order to drive decisions on multiple projects simultaneously, from project concept through execution.
Additional Duties Include:
Accountable for overall design quality, feasibility, and timeliness of each assignment.
Provide 2D & 3D design deliverables such as schematic design and design development sets on time and in correct format for internal and client review.
Design experiences for expositions and events with a focus on branding.
Manage the on-site cross-departmental punch lists.
Flag project risks and works for quick mitigation on open issues and items.
Recognize and proactively resolve problems and risks relating to the final execution.
Utilize the appropriate software programs to develop both presentation and executional materials; which may include: rendered and detail construction drawings; record dimensions and generate precise material schedules for project estimation and/or assembly, as well as printed, video, audio animated and other deliverables.
Communicate effectively with project team and clients to efficiently deliver the end result.
Collaborate to solve client objectives through smart design solutions.
Prioritize with department manager/supervisor to execute project assignments.
Work to ensure the 'design vision' falls in line with creative scope and client objectives, from budget evaluation and concept development, through the presentation of design solutions to senior management.
Manages a variety of responsibilities in a timely, efficient manner.
Balance multiple projects in a deadline driven environment and prioritizes work appropriately.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Two (2) plus years equivalent work experience in a design discipline associated with the role.
Proficient in 3D/structural design principals, graphic design layout, type, color, and print production.
Proficient in AutoCAD, Autodesk 3D Studio Max, and Adobe CS.
Microsoft Office skills.
Focus on quality, timeliness, and customer service.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Ability to multi task and juggle priorities within allotted timelines.
