Associate Research Scientist II / Sr. Associate Research Scientist I (M05/M/06)

Summary

The incumbent is responsible for independently performing technically diverse biochemistry methods in a non-routine laboratory environment. The individual will conduct testing in support of process characterization, process development and developmental stability studies. Test methods include immunonephelometry, potency via coagulation, subvisible particulate analysis, and 96-well plate based methods. The candidate should be proficient in trending data and recognize when data are aberrant. The position will split time between laboratory and office work.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Executing biochemistry test methods in the R&D laboratory

  • Subvisible particulate analysis

  • Compiling generated data into the LIMS data management system

  • Writing analytical reports and protocols

  • Writing and executing IOQs

  • Must be a qualified author who can revise and draft SOPs using R&D DCM.

  • Maintain the laboratory's standard and control portfolio

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Additional Responsibilities

  • Ordering of laboratory supplies using SRM software

  • Coordinate pipette maintenance and maintain calibration records

  • Sample login

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Demonstrates an understanding of fundamental laboratory testing techniques.

  • Familiar with working in a cGMP environment.

  • Resourceful and able to work in a collaborative team environment with minimal supervision.

Requirements

The candidate must have experience in the use of modern instrumental analytical techniques including but not limited to coagulation assays, enzymatic assays, immunoassays.

Assoc Research Scientist II: (RD1792)

Educational degrees must be relevant to position (e.g., Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or Toxicology)

MS Degree relevant to position with no additional experience required; Bachelors plus 1- 2years of experience. No degree requires 5 years of experience.

Senior Associate Research Scientist I: (RD1794)

Degree must be within a relevant field: (Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or Toxicology) Masters plus + 1 year experience, or Bachelors plus 3 years, No degree requires 7 years of experience. Depending on the area of assignment, directly related experience or a combination of directly related education and experience and/or competencies may be considered in place of the stated requirements. Example: If a job level requires a Bachelor's degree plus 4 years of experience, an equivalency could include 8 years of experience, an Associate's degree with 6 years of experience, or a Master's degree with 2 years of experience.

One of the control in the Application Security Program is to perform Dynamic Application Security Testing as part of the Software Development Lifecycle. In this role, you will work with software development partners to identify and mitigate the security vulnerabilities in the applications identified through DAST in test environments. Communication with the business security team, enterprise security group, and development technology partners is critical in this role. You will also act as an application security SME for the development and security communities within Wells Fargo.
