  • Assists in the research and development of products for Brand Aromatics' customers

  • Creates and duplicates products such as soups, culinary bases, stocks, sauces, side dishes and entrees

  • Supports R&D for McCormick's Industrial Group (USIG) / Food Service and Consumer group as well as (when needed) McCormick's Sales and Marketing Teams

  • Supports high impact presentations to customers, investors, C-suite executives, and the public

  • Works with McCormick's Culinary Group on matters pertaining to the USIG / Foodservice and Consumer Group

  • Sources and evaluates new raw materials for various projects; Examples of materials include Natural, Organic, Kosher, and Nutritionals

  • Sets up products in application and with customer specific requirements such as fresh, frozen, canned, aseptic, or self- stable

  • Provides various forms of culinary support within customer focused, high performance teams using knowledge and experience in culinary arts and product development

  • Applies a high degree of creativity and initiative

  • Uses some degree of latitude to make autonomous decisions and take actions


  • Associate's Degree in Culinary, Culinary Nutrition, Food Science or very closely related field + at least 3 years of food service / culinary product development experience OR BS Degree in the above + at least 1 year of food service / culinary product development experience

  • Well rounded foodservice experience in either casual dining, fine dining, or non-commercial

  • Technical competence evidenced by past achievement and exposure

  • Project management skills

  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and changing priorities

  • Excellent interpersonal as well as oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to work well and collaborate in teams and, also work independently

  • A high level of ethics, professionalism, and the ability to represent McCormick in a professional manner

  • Willingness and ability to travel for business as needed (could be 10 to 12 days per month)

  • Sanitation training and/or HACCP training


  • Experience working with, for or directly within the food manufacturing industry

  • Demonstrated innovation in Culinary, Nutrition, & Food Science projects

  • RCA CRC, CSC and/or ACF CC or above and/or CIA ProChef I Certification or above

  • Ability to speak Spanish
