The Associate Regulatory Affairs Specialist will be an expert in hazard communication, chemical regulation and EHS systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure each incoming raw material is reviewed, classified and labeled according to HAZCOM 2012 and the Canada Hazardous Products Act for one or more Clariant business

  • Review finished products and proposed new or modified products for regulatory impact, including applicable chemical inventory listings or exemptions.

  • Ensure each regulatory determination is appropriately documented and released in EHS.

  • Maintain accurate, complete and current information in the appropriate databases related to hazard communication

  • Work closely with the business partners to identify needs and solutions to current hazard communication requirements

  • Understand and strive to meet critical BU deadlines. Work closely with Business Unit Key Contacts to understand upcoming regulatory initiatives. Communicate changes to key stakeholders. Participate on Environmental Health and Safety and other system related projects and rollouts.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Biological/Life sciences, chemistry or toxicology with directly related experience in chemical management issues

  • Familiarity with chemical control laws such as DEA, CWC, BATF etc

  • Broad Chemical inventory knowledge for TSCA, DSL

  • Familiarity with the SAP EHS module

  • Can quickly adjust to changing priorities

  • Ability to distill, summarize, and effectively communicate complex issues to upper management and non-technical individuals.

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Multimodal HAZMAT certification a plus

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in regulatory affairs related to safety data sheet authoring for industrial chemicals

Responsible for 24/7 customer service for timely delivery of Aviation de-icing products throughout North America. Responsibilities: Coordination of processes * Creates orders and deliveries for customers. * Performs bulk transportation planning, shipment expediting, and follow up to meet Aviation customer req. * Determines allocation of stock by ship point/availability/geography * Manages inventory and shipments of staged trucks. * Assume lead ownership of a customer issue until resolved. * Monitors delivery process in order to invoice on time. * Inform planning proactively and accordingly about shortages/new requirements. * Records customer complaints in QNS database and follow up to ensure completion. * Collaboration during snow events with entire aviation team as to best way meet all customer requirements. * Operate to targets, work to service level agreement, and comply will all regulatory requirements * Demonstrate positive team behavior, inspire and support internal partners and teammates. Increase of efficiency * Identify opportunities and projects which eliminate non-value added tasks and improve efficiencies. * Assist in the optimization of inventory levels with guidance from NA Manager and logistics. * Facilitate an effective communication within the unit/support groups. * Interface between aviation team, 3rd party locations, credit and transportation mgmt. * Work in a Safety minded culture.
