Responsibilities

The Quantitative Strategies group partners with all business areas and corporate functions within the organization for model development, quantitative research, business analytics, risk management and process enhancement. All members of the team work in close collaboration across multiple areas as business priorities dictate.

All team members are tasked with effectively following, and adhering to and if applicable CIT policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit's risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.

The Quantitative Strategies team (QS) delivers model development, research and analysis to support CIT in 3 objectives:

  • Building and supporting models for Commercial Banking. Building and supporting models for regulatory requirements. Build tools & process enhancements and identifying opportunities to automate parts of model development and contribute to infrastructure, tool, or process improvement to enable efficiencies on the team Ad-hoc quantitative support for other areas in the organization

The role will primarily focus on supporting model development and model monitoring.

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (Masters or PhD) required in Quantitative Finance, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or other quantitative-oriented disciplines. Demonstrated ability to effectively organize tasks, manage time, set priorities and deadlines Strong quantitative skills and analytical problem solving ability required Functional with extraction of data. Advanced programming skills in one of the following - R, SAS, MATLAB or Python Knowledge of banking model related regulation (SR 11-7/OCC 2011-12) is preferred Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to reach the best possible results without compromising the work quality Team-work oriented and strong presentation skills Results oriented

Responsibilities The Associate IT Risk Controls Analyst works with all levels of management and across functional teams to conduct and document IT Risk Control Testing, procedures, and complete control testing. * Conduct testing of technology controls across the CIT environment, evaluating control areas including identity and acesss management, change management and computer operations* Develop control language and related test procedures for technology control testing. * Document test procedures, test results and related test evidence in firm workpaper's and risk management system. * Work with control owners when issues are identified to develop remediation plans. * Build / develop strong relationships with business / technology partners by keeping lines of communication open ad having collaborative discussions* Gain a thorough understanding of processes / controls by participating in process walkthroughs, side by side training, huddles / meetings, and other activities with process owners. * Improve technology controls testing process by continuous knowledge transfer with our business / operations partners* Participate in technology and application risk assessments* Assist manager on assigned and related ad hoc projects * Demonstrate key CIT values in daily performance of work and interactions with team and business / operations partners Qualifications * Bachelor's degree Required* 2+ years of technology audit, testing, quality control, or quality testing experience* Cyber Security audit experience preferred* Excellent verbal / written communication skills* Detail oriented* Must be willing and able to: * work in a fast paced environment * adapt to changing requirements * work closely in a team environment * work with all levels of management and cross-functional teams CIT Group Livingston NJ
