Position Summary

POSITION SUMMARY

Works in a Quality Systems environment to ensure that the Purple Products meet quality requirements. This position also supports key areas to assist in the development of an effective Quality System containing but not limited to: quality operations, complaint investigations, CAPA investigation, risk management, internal audit. Process data collection, analysis and trending. We are seeking a professional that can work and develop within a quality management system and with the skills, experience and competences to work in a dynamic environment

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support and provide Quality oversight to Operations, Engineering, and Warehouse team in their daily activities.

  • Assist in the development of documentation and records resulting from quality management system activities and according to established procedures.

  • Perform customer complaints analysis

  • Process Quality holds

  • Initiate and complete Quality Investigations to identify root cause and implement effective solutions (corrective and preventive actions) for product/process quality issues, audit observations and quality system compliance issues as required.

  • Utilize technical background (including statistical knowledge and root cause analysis tools) to assist in data collection, analysis and reporting associated to process improvement but also as input to management for decision making.

  • Actively participates in preventive/proactive quality and operations improvement projects.

  • Drive improvements to meet quality objectives and performance indicators goals associated to tasks under responsibility.

  • Provide support to initiate Change Request packages for Quality System procedure changes.

  • May lead or coordinate remediation plans associated to Quality System compliance issues.

  • Ensure fulfillment of compliance training requirements per established schedule.

  • May conduct internal audits per established internal audit schedule and as designated by Quality Management.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned or required.

  • Work on special projects as they arise.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • 0-1 years hands on experience working in a manufacturing work environment

  • Technical writing and problem-solving skills required

  • Written and verbal communication skills, capable of synthesizing a problem

statement/situation/observation and providing a concise synopsis to upper management

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task.

  • Must be capable of organizing data from multiple sources, extracting key information and writing technical reports with executive summaries including statistical analysis of data

  • Working knowledge of basic statistical techniques

  • Advanced knowledge and experience in root cause analysis (RCA) and problem-solving techniques

Position Summary POSITION SUMMARY Purple is currently seeking a Quality Control Inspector to support its drive towards world-class quality in its product. The Quality Control Inspector reports to the Quality Manager and is responsible for executing Quality Control processes associated with purchased material or produced product. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Ownership of and assisting in core QA/QC functions relating to In-Process and Final Product Control * Accurately complete documentation to indicate acceptance or rejection of parts and equipment * Document the investigation and resolution of problems initiated through non-conformances, corrective action, customer complaints, and/or audit findings * Assist in development of test methods and inspection plans * Assist in validations of test methods, equipment, processes * Assist in data gathering, analysis and reporting of department metrics as required * Perform standard and non-standard dimensional and/or functional tests using standard inspection tools and test equipment EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS * 1 – 2 years of quality assurance (QA) or quality control (QC) experience * Experience in a manufacturing/production environment is a plus * Candidates should possess a minimum of a high school diploma or GED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS * Effective communicator * Capable of working independently and in teams * Proven record of adaptability and flexibility within work functions * Relevant combinations of education, experience, certifications, and merit may be considered upon the review * MS Office Products experience ie: word, excel, power point, outlook BENEFITS AND PERKS * Medical, Dental, Vision * 401(k) Match * Generous PTO * Market Money * Earn a Mattress * Purple Swag * Amazing Purple Products WHY WORK AT PURPLE? * Make your mark: We value innovative thinking.
