Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for an Associate Quality Engineer (Level 2) to support the Quality Engineering Team in North Charleston, South Carolina.

The Quality Engineering team at Boeing South Carolina is looking for talented individuals to join our team. Quality Engineers work to solve complex problems in the Quality Management System. Quality Engineers work close to the product every day and are empowered to think creatively to eliminate defects, improve first pass quality, lead problem solving and engage in root cause corrective action activities.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead digital transformation using connected tools & mobile apps for product verification and data collection

  • Embrace a collaborative culture of rapid change to improve operational efficiencies

  • Identify and implement new use cases to enable continuous processes improvements

  • Apply system engineering techniques to define, develop, deploy and institutionalize mobile apps.

  • Research contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements for applicability to specific proposals and program processes and documentation.

  • Develop sections of quality metrics, design and production certification plans to ensure compliance with contractual, company and regulatory requirements.

  • Analyze capability assessments to support supplier selection activities.

  • Participate in various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs.

  • Perform data analysis to ensure manufacturing and test readiness.

  • Provide material review dispositions for non-conformances.

  • Analyze non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions.

  • Compile performance reports and other statistical data to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved.

  • Work under general supervision.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 2+ years' experience in Aerospace, Manufacturing, Quality, or another regulated industry.

  • 2+ years' experience applying Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) or other similar rigorous problem/analysis/resolution processes.

  • 2+ years' experience managing projects with cross-functional stakeholders and teammates

  • 2+ years' experience collecting, organizing, and analyzing data, summarizing findings, and developing conclusions.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering and/or a technical discipline.

  • Experience working in a Quality Engineering or other production engineering job role.

  • Experience working with AS9100 and/or similar QMS standard

  • Experience with analytics tools & software.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $73,100 - $98,900
