Summary:
The Cosm Engineering team develops technology to deliver best-in-class experiences in our digital and live-streaming products. We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Associate QA Analyst to help ensure the quality of applications on mobile, VR, and for our Venues and full software suite. As a QA Analyst at Cosm, you work with our Product and Content teams to write test cases, manually test applications, and begin automating tests using code. We expect all of our team members to be versatile, display leadership qualities, and to be enthusiastic when taking on new problems as we continue to push the technology forward.
The ideal candidate will be closely working with technical and business teams to plan, develop and maintain automated tests and to develop best practices and automation roadmaps. You will work in an energetic and highly creative environment with a group of highly talented, passionate, and successful individuals.
Responsibilities
Use technical knowledge to create, execute, and maintain software test plans and automation involving one or more product components and/or features.
Create and maintain automation scripts, make configuration changes, and modify/extend test cases to accommodate feature releases
Develop test solutions, scripts, and tools to reduce manual effort, audit components, or improve feature quality.
Troubleshoot automation failures and isolate bugs to help developers research the root cause of defects
Analyze change requests and provide recommendations on how change might impact test scope and/or product behavior
Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Working knowledge of the software development process
Knowledge of one or more scripting languages (e.g., Javascript, Python, Ruby, Perl)
Knowledge of software-testing techniques (e.g., equivalence class partitioning) and software-testing life cycle
Experience with testing technologies (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Java Script, Junit, TestNG, and other open-source tools)
Experience in four core software-testing techniques: 1) equivalence class partitioning, 2) boundary value testing; 3) verifying each requirement; and 4) state transition.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
In-depth working knowledge of Excel or equivalent spreadsheet programs is recommended.
Ability to organize and prioritize individual workload to meet required deadlines
