Associate Project Manager

The Associate Project Manager teams with a Project Manager to assist with the tasks associated with the successful completion of the projects. S/he will learn the methodology of project management and gain experience and understanding of the position.
Specific tasks would include:
Under the direction and supervision of a project manager, will interface with client representatives as well as SynteractHCR personnel in the functional departments to assist with the timely initiation and completion of clinical trials
Assists with the preparation of proposals, budgets and contracts
Assists with identifying potential bottlenecks and/or delays; assists with the development and execution of contingency plans in order to keep the project on schedule
Assists with the development of the Project Management Plan to include timeline and milestones
Assists in coordinating the Project Team Meetings, including assistance with the development of meeting agendas and minutes
Assists with the daily, on-going communication via telephone and email, responding to inquiries and client requests.
Assists with management of the study budget throughout the duration of the project
Assists with the development of study specific training and other requirements for internal and external staff, as appropriate
Assists with the development of periodic reports.
Assists with the development of out of scope documentation and costs
Assists with the Project TMF
May act as project manager for single service, and or less complex projects as determined by their functional manager
Develops Project Management plan to include timeline and milestones
Manages budget throughout the duration of the project and develops out of scope documentation and costs
Conducts daily, on-going communication via telephone and email, responding to inquiries and client requests. Interacts with clients and vendors to ensure that all contractual obligations are met
Adheres to applicable ethical, regulatory and clinical standards
Performs all duties in accordance with SynteractHCR SOPs, government regulations and Good Clinical Practice
Ensures knowledge of clinical research, clinical therapeutics and regulatory issues, is current through review of journal articles and attendance of relevant professional association meetings
Bachelor's degree in a related field of study and a minimum of 3 years applicable industry experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Knowledge of the principals of GCPs, ICH guidelines and FDA regulations
Intermediate Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Outlook
Effective verbal and writing skills; English + local language, if relevant
This position requires the ability to perform varied tasks, to maintain an appropriate work pace, to exercise logic and reasoning, to comprehend and follow instructions and to make complex decisions. Performing the duties of this job regularly requires repetitive hand movement (at least 15 minutes), sitting for long periods of time, speaking and listening; also involves standing and walking, some grasping and reaching, and the ability to lift up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus
