We are currently adding to our Sample department again for an Associate level (1 year/entry-level) Project Manager who is as passionate about marketing research as we are! This is a great role with growth potential as a critical part of the cross-functional marketing research team, with a focus in the sampling part of projects. You'll work on a variety of client teams in industries from Food, CPG, retail, healthcare, technology, and many more.

In many research endeavors we know a great deal about the audience, the geography and even the product we are targeting. But, in some cases we know very little at the start. In order to make an informed decision on the mode of contact that will provide the best inclusion of respondents, we need to dissect each data collection method and sample channel to get as close to the truth as possible. In order to accomplish this Burke has a team of full time, dedicated data collection and sampling subject matter experts focusing on professional sampling management from design and consultation through implementation and project conclusion. The Sampling department helps other project team members have the right consumer sample and market in order to draw the correct insights needed.

Specific responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:

  • Assisting in the sampling portion of custom marketing research studies with different methodologies (using panels, mobile sample sourcing, etc.) and utilizing various sample sources

  • Working with internal teams and vendors to determine sample specifications for studies; creating sampling processes for specific client requests

  • Requesting estimates, negotiating and purchasing large orders of data collection products to meet project needs

  • Determining best methods for setting up the sample using custom file manipulations and technical applications such as Access

  • Ensuring accuracy in billing and related account reports from purchases and project charges

  • Use your project management, stats and tech skills, along with excellent interpersonal and relationship building abilities while you learn, grow, and make an impact here and with our clients' products and services!

Qualified applicants will have a relevant BS/BA degree in Marketing or a related field AND a minimum of 1 year experience in marketing research (such as an internship, etc.) to qualify for Associate Project Manager (e-level). All candidates must have strong skills in SQL, MS Access, Excel and Word. All candidates should have the ability to manage multiple projects at once, thriving in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills within teams and with clients are required.

As part of our hiring process, Burke conducts a criminal background check on all potential employees. You may be asked to provide additional information for that purpose.

Burke is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
