Summary:

Associate Project Manager (APM) for the utility construction program. This is ajunior level position designed to develop the skill sets employees need tobecomecompetent Project Managers within our lines of construction businesses (Gas, Power,& Telecom).

Responsibilities:

Develop understanding of safety, quality, financial analysis, project controls, design, communications, scope, contracts within the key phases of project lifecycle.

Develop, optimize and update project schedules for multiple, simultaneous large operations using scheduling software such as Primavera P6.

Assist in developing Project Plan and coordinate staffing efforts for field positions.

Monitor/control construction through administrative interactions with on-site Superintendent to ensure program work is built on schedule and within budget; investigate potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures.

Shadow various Project Managers to understand the relationship of the contractor prime relationship, to facilitate construction activities.

Participate in project kickoff meetings, weekly and monthly project meeting, and monthly project report out reviews as well as project closeout lessons learned.

Enroll in On-line Project Management training courses offered by the company to better understand a project's lifecycle and where and how the coursework integrates into that cycle.

Participate in active projects to reinforce PM learning components and how each component of the master Project Plan applies to the project.

Qualifications:

College graduate - preferablywith afour-year degree in engineering or construction management or expect to havethat degreewithin the next12 months.

Experience with Primavera Scheduling Software and Microsoft Project is a plus.

Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Word and Excel).

VIEW JOBS 4/25/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-07-24T00:00 This position is key to driving the execution of Global Quality & Operations (GQO) projects, reporting to Consumables Process Development & Transfer (cPDT) Program Management Office (PMO). The Sr. Project Manager will work to increase Illumina's clinical capabilities by improving supplier quality, manufacturing process controls and robust product characterization from feasibility phase to commercial launch. Successful Senior Project Managers lead and work collaboratively with Core Team members from various functions (Product Marketing, Development, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Customer Support, etc.) to improve Clinical Infrastructure under aggressive timelines. The successful candidate must be able to work independently, handle multiple projects in parallel, and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization. Roles and Responsibilities: * Provide leadership to the Product Development Process (PDP) process within the Consumables Process Development & Transfer (cPDT) Organization. * Lead large projects/programs, with a multidisciplinary technical scope across the Illumina Consumables Process Development Portfolio. * Drive management of process development deliverables for cPDT projects through feasibility to commercial launch. * Collaborate cross-functionally to create, execute and communicate overall project plans (scope, schedule, staffing plans, quality, risk management, budget, and procurement) and revise them appropriately to meet changing project needs and requirements. * Manage the resource demand and allocation process for cross- functional team in Process Development & Transfer, Supply Chain Packaging, and Quality, and Manufacturing Technical Operations * Update enterprise resource and portfolio management systems to ensure staffing and budget allocation accurately reflect portfolio needs. * Develop escalation and communication strategy with Operations Technical Lead and sub-teams on projects issues and risks. * Provide leadership to project teams and functional areas to identify and mitigate complex project issues that may pose challenges to strategic goals Report to Upper Management regularly on project status. * Work in partnership with Operations Technical Lead and sub-teams to ensure timely, efficient, and effective operations meetings * Track, manage and communicate project changes to team and stakeholders * Collaborate effectively with stakeholders to ensure project goals are aligned with business objectives. * Collaborate cross-functionally to create, execute and communicate overall project plans (scope, schedule, staffing plans, quality, risk management, budget, and procurement) and revise them appropriately to meet changing project needs and requirements. * Identify needs for changes to plan and communicate them to the team and stakeholders to ensure program goals are in alignment with business objectives * Update enterprise resource and portfolio management systems to ensure staffing and budget allocation reflect portfolio needs. * Create and update executive level dashboards for summarizing critical business metrics. * Identify and resolve or escalate program issues, facilitate tradeoff decisions, and remove obstacles * Ensure product development efforts adhere to internal processes and design control standards * Continuously analyze and manage risks to enable successful project completion * Define and optimize project management and development processes, methodologies, and tools to improve organizational efficiency and effectiveness * Apply best practices and knowledge of internal/external business challenges to improve products * Contribute to product development process and/or Array Platform improvement initiatives Interface with Engineering, R&D, Quality, Supply Chain and Regulatory to ensure project activities are completed on time and meet performance goals. * Facilitate complex root cause analysis and risk assessment sessions with leadership teams or critical project teams. * Perform program management responsibilities to effectively coordinate efforts and activities between multiple projects, initiatives, and meetings * Utilize project and program management best practices throughout project phases * Coordinate Lessons Learn sessions to ensure alignment with project deliverables and identify areas for improvement on future projects. Experience\Knowledge Requirements: * Familiar with In Vitro Diagnostics and FDA and CE-IVD regulated product development processes. * Expert at project scheduling using MS Project, including dependencies and critical path determination and optimization * Accomplished in collaboration and prioritization tools such as Atlassian Confluence and JIRA. * Skilled in data analysis and visualization tools such as Tableau. * Command of project budget creation and management best practices. * Accomplished at resource scheduling and loading. * Skills in enterprise resource and portfolio management solutions such as SAP PPM * Experience adhering to Design Controls for the development of medical devices such as 21CFR820, ISO 13485, and ISO 14971 * Experience managing projects with both waterfall and agile methodologies is preferred Education, Experience, & Skills: * 8+ years of relevant experience and a BS in Life sciences, BS Engineering, BS Physics is preferred * 6+ years of relevant experience and a MS or MBA in Life sciences, BS Engineering, BS Physics is a plus * 2+ years of relevant experience and a PhD in a scientific field or a PharmD, DVM or MD degree is a plus * Experience should include 3 years of participation in cross-functional project management activities.
