Job Summary

Provide business development and program oversight over scope, schedule and budget of electric vehicle related projects in compliance with the BPU Order and PSEG procedures. Ensure projects meet all program requirements and investment targets, including project scope and cost effectiveness. Support program forecasting, budget tracking, and regulatory filings. Provide technical, financial, analytical and project management guidance to support the achievement of business goals and strategic objectives as part of PSE&G's Renewables & Energy Solutions group.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage the processes for implementing electric vehicle related projects in accordance with requirements for BPU approved programs.

  • Interface with PSEG associates, vendors, customers and outside consultants to assure the Program rules and requirements are maintained, the projects are cost effective and the information needed for management and regulatory reporting is accurate and timely.

  • Perform and oversee program and project QA/QC as required.

  • Must become knowledgeable in Electric Vehicle Programs and technologies.

  • Manage customer relationships to provide program services with a high level of customer satisfaction. Coordinate and direct the activities of vendors and contractors. Review vendor deliverables. Monitor vendor performance, and review/process vendor invoices. This work is conducted both electronically, telephonically and in the field.

  • Compile and analyze data from various projects / sources to monitor the status of customer projects and report to management. Electric Vehicle projects may include the installation of Level 2 chargers in residential or commercial settings or Direct Current Fast Chargers in community or highway locations.

  • Analyze performance results for management reports; Provide monthly project status forecasts; Prepare monthly expense and capital forecasts.

  • Must be proficient with working independently while maintaining and applying working knowledge of PSEG Standards of Business Controls and meet management's expectations for effective internal business controls. Assist with special projects as necessary.

  • During storm restoration efforts, may be required to perform functions outside of routine duties and on a schedule that may be different from normal operations.

Job Specific Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree plus 5 years demonstrated knowledge managing energy related projects, electric vehicle projects, project management, customer service, or marketing, education, or outreach practices. In lieu of a degree, nine years of experience in the foregoing spaces.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage program vendors and other delivery contractors

  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel & MS Word)

  • Excellent written and verbal skill set.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of the utility industry, appropriate regulations and applicable Board Orders.

  • Strong analytical and financial skills.

  • Demonstrated leadership skills - must foster an inclusive work environment and respect all aspects of diversity

  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license

Desired:

  • Advanced degrees or certifications are a plus

  • Demonstrated knowledge of emissions savings measures and techniques

  • Demonstrated knowledge of EV residential and/or commercial/industrial customer solutions
