The California School of Professional Psychology (CSPP) - San Francisco at Alliant International University is seeking a core faculty member at the Associate rank with both academic experience and leadership abilities to be the Program Director of the APA-accredited Clinical Psychology Ph.D. program. The Clinical Psychology Ph.D. program is based on the scholar-practitioner model emphasizing high quality clinical competence and applied research training.
This 12-month, full-time position is a combination of both administrative leadership and academic responsibilities. The department is particularly interested in applicants qualified to teach research methodology or statistics, with research and teaching background in trauma, community-focused research, child/family studies, gender studies, psychopathology, or related areas.
Oversee the ongoing activities of the PhD doctoral program
Primary teaching responsibilities:
Teach graduate level courses in the PhD and PsyD Clinical Psychology programs.
Design, develop and assess courses, student learning outcomes, and program outcome goals.
Conduct scholarly activities and professional research.
Participate in activities that contribute to the PhDs program's continuing success and preparation of clinical psychologists and researchers.
Provide service to the University and community.
Supervise, advise and mentor students, and contribute to student professional growth and development.
Perform other related tasks, duties and responsibilities as required, assigned or directed.
Education: Doctoral Degree in Psychology from an accredited college or university and APA-accredited internship.
Experience: Graduate Level teaching and mentoring, clinical and administrative experience, as well as a record of scholarship.
Certifications, Licenses, etc.: Psychology Licensed or License Eligible in CA
Proficient computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office programs
The ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail and the ability to problem solve.
The ability to explain complex requirements in clear and concise terms
The ability to be flexible with workflow to meet the needs of the department and students and to manage multiple tasks per required deadlines
The drive to encourage, direct, hold accountable and guide candidates toward task completion.
Must demonstrate the ability to work as an effective team member and develop trusting relationships with students and Alliant employees, as well as the Registrar's Office and various academic departments.
