Pay Range: $75,000 - $100,000 / year dependent on background and experience level
Summary:
The Associate Production Supervisor is responsible for estimating and tracking costs in a busy entertainment manufacturing environment. The Associate Production Supervisor will obtain all relevant project specifications, determine the most appropriate building materials, and understand the time required for each step of the fabrication process. To ensure success, the ideal candidate should be able to translate project requirements into concrete figures with ease.
The Associate Production Supervisor will work closely with the Production and Fabrication Management teams, in consultation with Project Managers, Technical Designers, and Salespeople. This is an in-person salary position that includes eligiblity for PTO, health insurance, and 401k after the probationary period.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Collect all pertinent information including probable costs of materials, labor requirements, and subcontracted services for fabrication projects based on schematic drawings, customer requirements and specifications.
Study documentation and meet with key stakeholders to understand what work is required throughout each project.
Ensure the client's vision is incorporated throughout the estimating process.
Contribute to the development of creative and technical solutions.
Develop bids for fabrication projects and change orders, documenting cost proposals in a clear, concise manner.
Facilitate a smooth transition of estimate to Project Manager, explaining any technical and/or material assumptions.
Monitor and analyze expenses throughout the production process to gauge adherence to scope.
Track and report differences between estimated cost and actual cost.
In coordination with the Production Manager, Fabrication Manager, and Fabrication Coordinator, manage day-to-day logistics and workflow in shop. Provide back-up for responsibilities of the members of Production and Fabrication Management departments.
Work with all departments to achieve a high-quality product that represents All Access well in the global staging market.
Qualification Requirements:
2+ years of experience working in bid coordination, proposal development, Entertainment Industry, Production/Project Management or a similar role
Familiarity with the construction industry or a related field is advantageous
Strong math skills including geometry and basic arithmetic
Ability to navigate specifications and plans
Ability to handle multiple assignments at once
Outstanding computer skills, including ability to learn new programs with ease
Close attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
