Zumiez is a leading specialty retailer of apparel, footwear, accessories, skateboards, and snowboards for young men and women who want to express their individuality through the fashion, music, art, and culture of action sports, streetwear, and other unique lifestyles. Headquartered in Lynnwood, Washington, Zumiez operates over 700 stores in North America, Europe, and Australia. We operate under Zumiez in North America, Blue Tomato in Europe, and Fast Times in Australia.

The Zumiez Product and Brand Services (PBS) team is responsible for over 30 unique brands spanning various categories, including men's and women's apparel, accessories, and snow/skate hardgoods. These brands are comprised of private label, licensed, and owned brands.

Position Purpose

The Product & Brand Services Associate Production Artist is responsible for men's, women's, accessories, skate hardgoods, snow hardgoods, and packaging artwork production for many Zumiez Private Label and Licensed brands.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Develop Product Tech Packs, Artwork/Packaging Specifications, and BOMs for the following:

• Private Label & Licensed Brand Printables

• Private Label & Licensed Brand Hardgoods

• Private Label & Licensed Brand Trims & Packaging

• Adheres to project deadlines and expectations assigned by the manager that include, but not limited to, the following:

• Private Label & Licensed Brand Monthly Production Deadlines

• Artwork Delivery Deadlines When Support Is Needed

• Maintain and organize Artwork, Tech Packs, and Packaging files

• Maintain Private Label Trims & Packaging One-Sheets

• Create and manage line sheets for specific product categories

• Responsible for tracking, making comments, and vendor communication for specific product categories

• Complete creative projects independently

• Knowledgeable of performance and department initiatives

• Collaborates with cross-functional teams and Product & Brand Services counterparts

• Potential to contribute artwork deliveries, trend research, and art direction

• Other duties as assigned by the Manager

Requirements:

• Experience in artwork production or graphic design

• Adhere to US Copyright and Trademark Laws

• BA or equivalent course work in artwork production or graphic design

• Contribute to the Zumiez culture of empowerment, competition, teaching, learning, recognition, fairness, honesty, and fun

• Knowledge of the printing processes for Apparel and Packaging

• Project management and organizational skills

• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop

• Experience working with an Apple workstation

• Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook

• Ability to adhere to established brand guidelines

• Remain detail-oriented and adaptable while working in a fast-paced environment

• A balanced mix of creative and technical know-how

• Able to travel domestically

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Ability to sit/stand in a stationary position in an office environment for extended periods and work on a Mac or PC without limitations. Must be able to distinguish colors and inspect material on the product.
