The Harley-Davidson Motor Company Corporate Headquarters in Milwaukee, WI is the site where the first H-D factory - a wooden shed - was built in 1903 in the backyard of the William C. Davidson family home. Join our team as a Associate Product Manager- Licensed Products.
The Associate Product Manager drives brand relevance and excellence for Harley-Davidson's global brand portfolio of licensed programs and products. Responsible for leading the development and execution of the Licensing Style Guide, collaboration with internal/external stakeholders to approve product designs aligned to Brand quality guidelines and leads approval design metrics rolling up to Licensing Scorecard for leadership. Role liaises with diverse stakeholders, including Licensing product account managers and operations, internal functions, licensees and Harley-Davidson dealers to respond to the needs of the business related to Licensing design and product approvals. Serves as super-user of licensing management system for approvals and data research. This position reports to the Manager, Licensing.
Conduct Licensed product development design approval process, from concept to final samples.
Work in collaboration with Licensing account managers and following up on a timely basis with key stakeholders.
Primary category is high volume of custom dealer graphic imprint apparel and hard goods, yet creative approval process will flex to include diverse categories.
Ensure adherence to Harley-Davidson contractual Licensing obligations, quality brand standards and artwork guidelines.
Establish Product Approval metrics and build tools to track performance against objectives with focus on timeliness.
Responsible for becoming subject matter expert in creative and artwork standards and guidelines, including alignment to Sourced Product Segmentation "Collections."
Create, manage and evolve Licensing Style Guide to elevate Brand while improving creative process for greater efficiency with licensees.
Take on additional product management projects as assigned to flex skills.
Bachelor's Degree Preferred
A minimum of 3 years graphic design experience required
Experience in the licensing or apparel industry with demonstrated knowledge of the product development process from inception through production and launch, and keen attention to detail.
Effective communication with problem-solving abilitiesresults-driven, solution-focused communication.
Continuous Improvement mindset with ability to build and refine processes collaboratively.
Professional written, verbal skills; Adobe Illustrator and computer proficient with experience using product approval systems.
Experience interpreting design intent, offering alternative solutions and acting as a creative design resource.
Ability to deal with ambiguity while being an engaged team player, fostering a commitment to teamwork with other associates.
Working knowledge of diverse categoriesapparel, accessories and hard goods categories.
Strong time management and organizational skills with ability to prioritize while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Experience with Powersports or Motorcycle product categories preferred.
