As the Associate Product Manager, you will support up to three product lines. You will execute tactical steps in new/buyout product setup and will conduct sustaining product tasks in support of the Product Manager.

You will also serve as the internal and external champion for assigned products, occasionally working with the sales channel and key customers to promote Leviton and its associated product solutions.

Essential Functions:
1.Conduct market and technology assessments and competitive product assessments
2.Develop of Charters and Business Proposals for new product ideas or opportunities
3.Assist with establishing product pricing and assessing product costs and gross margins
4.Assist in development of product market materials
5.Assist in maintaining/updating product forecasts to establish appropriate inventory levels with Operations
6.Coordinate all functions to support the product line from launch to end of life cycle
7.Support of Retail, Distribution Sales Force, Agents, DSMs; Mexico and Canada as needed to make assigned product-lines successful
8.Assist in the development of appropriate training materials for the value chain
9.Manage all web related activities for assigned product lines

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to cultivate and maintain relationships with customers that lead to the sale of assigned products

  • Acumen in executing business decisions

  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals

  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, employees, and the general public

  • Ability to work in a highly confidential work environment; and the ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form

  • Knowledge of product design capabilities, and commercial manufacturing processes and operations preferred

Education and Experience:

  • BA in Business Administration or BS in Engineering required; MBA preferred

  • Minimum 1 year of combined Engineering, Marketing, Operations or Product Management experience

  • 1+ years in Sales desirable

  • New product development introduction experience a plus

Travel

  • Up to 10% travel may be required, including possible International travel
