As an Associate Product Manager, you will support and manage the indoor cooking category portfolio in collaboration with the Senior Product Manager. This role is crucial for achieving Fisher & Paykel's strategic goals and supporting the broader product management team. Based in our Costa Mesa, California, headquarters, you will report directly to the Senior Product Manager for Cooking.

You will:

  • Build and maintain a strong knowledge base of distributors and channels, collaborating with sales and marketing to develop effective strategies and analyze product line success.

  • Align in-market product strategies with global business goals, providing regular and insightful market updates to global product teams.

  • Become a product expert, possessing or developing strong technical knowledge, and understanding the features and benefits to consumers.

  • Conduct competitor analysis, researching competitive products, in-store marketing materials, and strategies, while identifying strengths, weaknesses, and market trends.

  • Develop a deep understanding of the financial performance of product categories, regularly reporting on performance, and understanding cost and margin calculations.

  • Project manage the New Product Introduction (NPI) process, coordinating with sales, marketing, and supply chain to ensure successful product launches and minimize product obsolescence.

  • Build strong, constructive relationships within the team and across business units, working collaboratively with diverse stakeholders to manage integrated information and content strategies.

  • Support strategic planning efforts, aligning with global strategies, developing product brochures and roadmaps, and assisting in business case development for new products.

You Have:

  • 2+ years of analytical experience in corporate settings, preferably in product management.

  • A degree in Business, Product, Marketing, related field, or equivalent experience.

  • Knowledge in brand strategy, pricing, and marketing, with understanding of consumer sales.

  • Proficiency in MS Teams, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

  • Skills in data gathering and synthesis for data-driven decision-making.

  • Strong relationship-building abilities.

  • Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail.

  • Capacity to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

  • Experience or interest in working in global, matrixed organizations.

The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $85,000. This range is a guideline and may not reflect your exact offer. Factors considered when extending an offer include (but are not limited to) education, experience, relevant skills, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
