Position Overview

The ABICIPAR Associate Product Director is responsible for oversight of key professional marketing initiatives, which includes strategic development and updates of promotional collateral, consistent engagement and insight from field sales, retina specialists, and HCPS. This individual will lead launch planning and readiness for ABICIPAR. This individual will draft field communications/announcements, manage creation and updates of promotional collateral, and will work closely with agency partners to ensure effective reviews. This role will effectively collaborate with medical, legal, regulatory, sales training, strategic communications, marketing operations, sales analytics and field sales.

Main Areas of Responsibilities

  • Support planning for ABICIPAR launch. Active engagement with external stakeholders and key opinion leaders, and drive objectives across a wide array of internal functions including medical, R&D, payer marketing, reimbursement team, and commercial field force. Active participation at Retina Congress meetings and advisory boards.

  • Strategic development and updates of promotional collateral, competitive defense planning and execution, savings program reports and operations, sample forecasting and management, and advertising/promotional activities.

  • Collaborate with medical, legal, regulatory, sales training, strategic communications, marketing operations, sales analytics and field sales.

  • Draft field communications/announcements manage updates of promotional collateral and will work closely with agency partners to ensure effective reviews.



  • The following listed requirements need to be met at a minimum level to be considered for the job:

  • 3-5 years Product Management experience in direct to physician marketing

  • Solid understanding and experience with buy and bill process

  • Knowledge of the process around billing codes, reimbursement, support and medical benefits

  • Understands verification of benefits for patient coverage

  • Experience with product launches

  • Health care industry experience with established track record in managing industry-based marketing functions.

Preferred Skills/Qualification

The below skills are attributes that may not be mandatory, but are definitely desired in the ideal candidate.

  • Highly desired: 2+ years experienced marketing to health care providers

  • Highly desired: 3+ years successful specialty sales experience


  • Bachelor's degree required

  • Master's degree in business preferred

As a key leader and business influencer, you will drive all aspects of the product life cycle, including new product definition, business case generation, collateral generation and pricing.
