This Old House is a leading multi-platform home enthusiast brand, serving over 20 million consumers each month with trusted information and expert advice. This Old House connects with audiences through its Emmy award-winning television shows This Old House and Ask This Old House, and its inspiration and information-driven digital properties, including ThisOldHouse.com, and across a myriad of platforms including social media,YouTube, and free ad-supported digital television. In 2022 This Old House was recognized by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 49th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards. More than four decades since premiering as the seminal home improvement show, This Old House continues to be the longest-running home renovation series in America.

This Old House Ventures, which includes its production arm in Concord, MA, and its business arm in Stamford, CT, was acquired by Roku in 2021. The acquisition forms the foundation of Roku Studios.

About the Role

This Old House is looking for a highly organized individual to support the Producing team of the longest running home renovation series in America. You will have the ability to travel and work remotely, often from the residential construction zone. This a dynamic role, operating as the nucleus for Producers and support staff. As such, you will have the independence and autonomy to pivot tasks according to needs of the production. Your flexibility and resourcefulness, especially managing props, will prove to be useful in the success of this role.

This position will be based in Concord, MA.

For Massachusetts Only - The estimated annual salary for this position is between $68,000 - $131,000 annually.

Compensation packages are based on factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, certifications, and specific geographical location.

This role is eligible for health insurance, equity awards, life insurance, disability benefits, parental leave, wellness benefits, and paid time off.

What you'll be doing:

  • Support production as needed

  • Coordinate and source imagery/props as needed for production

  • Create & maintain project databases

  • Maintain show history/chronology

  • Support talent as needed

  • Compose episode descriptions

  • Episode COVE formatting

  • Create and maintain web resources

  • Create and Send Call Sheets and Episode Rundowns

  • Contribute PR ideas, and create content for and drive social media engagement

  • Contribute to show content and new program development

  • Create and maintain closing credits

  • Send airdate reminders/thank you notes

  • Support builder(s), as needed for production purposes

  • Develop or expand on project, builder, and vendor/trades party relationships

  • Serve as liaison between project and vendors

  • Collaborate with departments across Roku This Old House

  • Coordinate and oversee pre-project wrap events and wrap party production - creating and maintaining schedule and budget, working closely with builder and trades professionals, sourcing and hiring vendors

  • Collect data and/or perform research

  • Book travel

  • Travel requirements up to 35%

  • Familiar and comfortable with construction sites, including activities associated with being on-site

  • Applicant should be able to drive for prop transportation and other errands such as scouting

  • Strong writing skills needed for episode descriptions and correspondence

  • Must have reliable transportation

  • Familiarity with travel booking and event planning is a plus

  • Interest in home renovation also a plus, but not required
