Responsibilities

CNBC, the world leader in business news, is looking for an Associate Producer, Strategic Content & News Partnerships. This exciting role will join a team known for pioneering new editorial and sponsorship models across CNBC platforms. This person will help execute a roster of exclusive editorial partnerships in support of CNBC Business Day, CNBC Events and CNBC Digital. Success will depend on the person's strong communication and interpersonal skills, interest in business news, and ability to collaborate with internal constituencies ranging from the Newsroom to Events to Integrated Marketing.

The Associate Producer role includes the following responsibilities:

  • Strategy:

  • Track editorial appetite for specific special reports across all platforms

  • Manage internal pipeline of requests for content solutions coming from the integrated marketing team

  • Assist in the development and production of the annual multi-platform editorial calendar

  • Work closely with the CNBC events team on sponsorship elements and related on-air and digital content

  • Editorial:

  • Brainstorm and pitch editorial concepts, franchises, and individual stories to multiple internal stakeholders including TV producers and digital editors

  • Research

  • Develop and execute social media campaigns supporting key franchises

Qualifications/Requirements

  • minimum 2 years of experience in television, digital media, marketing, research, strategy, and/or business development

  • creative approach to solving problems with uncommon solutions

  • ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup-like environment within CNBC

  • strong communication skills

  • strong analytical skills

  • MS Excel, Power Point

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Desired Characteristics

  • Prior experience in Business news

  • Working knowledge of basic statistics

  • Ability to read, interpret and manipulate data

  • Social media fluency

VIEW JOBS 9/16/2018 12:00:00 AM 2018-12-15T00:00 Responsibilities The Associate Producer (AP) works closely with Post Production clients and members of the Post Production team to orchestrate the successful finishing and delivery of spots on a daily basis. The AP will be the internal resource for editors and clients to assist in translating work orders so requests are completed in a timely manner. The incumbent will support creative editors, producers and audio engineers on creative projects as needed. Job Duties * Supervise daily tagging sessions * Creative and Finishing team support * Music searches and supervise VO and mix sessions * Client coordination * Screen dailies and interview footage * Supervise or perform clip pulling to pull appropriate video or audio selects * Coordinate color correction of footage (if applicable) * Basic edit and use of adobe and avid to cut pieces based on scripts to assist in project deadlines * QC screen approval files before sending to Client and final spots * Facilitate the final delivery of final spots after QC * Create an entry for promo in appropriate application * Conference calls with edit team and/or Client when needed * Central communication for EC edit team between client and PM team as needed * Ensure SOP's are created and available for all AP workflows * Co-ordinate with on-air contact for house numbers and PID or ProM information * Track asset volume on a weekly, monthly and yearly basis * Supply weekly reports as to volume and special projects per brand * Ability to respond to feedback, notes and/or revisions in a positive and creative way * Trouble shoot as needed with vendors and/or digital delivery services Qualifications/Requirements Basic Qualifications A minimum of 2 years' experience in a Post-Production environment 2 years of experience with digital campaigns Client services experience required Knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications Knowledge of Avid & Adobe Creative Suite required Familiar with digital file format and codecs Working knowledge of post ecosystem Additional Job Requirements Interested candidate must submit a resume/CV through www.nbcunicareers.com to be considered (note job #:43171BR) Must be willing to work in Englewood Cliffs, NJ Must have a flexible work schedule; willingness work overtime, and on weekends, as needed Desired Characteristics Strong attention to detail Extremely organized Ability to work on a team Excellent communication skills Ability to work independently Ability to prioritize work load and work under pressure Excellent at supervising and delegating Broad experience of the production process is a plus NBC Universal Englewood Cliffs NJ
