Position Overview

Support Director in executing the operational framework for luxury footwear and accessories, resulting in product that supports compliance regulations, quality and strategic initiatives. Drive on time sample delivery and end to end costing.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Liaison between RL apparel and accessory design teams for coordinating print/ woven and embroidery sourcing, mill card info for specs, lead times, component procurement, billing, etc.

  • Issue Purchase Orders for the above components and track deliveries.

  • Assist with sample ordering, tracking; check in, reporting and hand-off

  • Coordinate shipping and hand-carries as needed

  • Assist Director in coordinating costing activities with merch including; creating costing chart with landing formulas, CBD review and validation, cost sheet prep w/ landing factors and margins, coordinating costing meetings and providing feedback to country office, drive costing approvals and entering and maintaining costing information in GFE+

  • Ariba sample coding and approval

  • Coordinate with design and Production to pass off sketches for shoe boxes

  • Maintain details on HTS chart

  • As requested by compliance to verify HTS codes, prepare PO's, send product to lab for analysis and communicate lab results to compliance team

  • Schedule customs compliance team product review

  • Prepare and pass off spec details that support accurate HTS classification

  • Risk assessment product review

  • Coordinate and lead tech pack handoff to support Testing Team.

  • Coordinate product knowledge by partnering with design and merchandising to create briefs of technical info for copywriters etc.

  • Assist with collection repairs for US, ASIA, and EU regions working with store associates, merchandisers, product vendors, local repair facilities, and QA for the execution of the repair requests

  • Sample PO order writing

Experience, Skills & Knowledge

  • 4 Year College Degree Preferred or equivalent experience.

  • 3 5 years work related experience

  • Math and analytical skills

  • Strong communication skills, including email

  • Strong sense of Teamwork.

  • Highly proficient in all computer skills - Excel, Pivot Tables

Position Overview The Leather Assistant will be responsible for the day to day facilitation of leather development for Polo & Lauren Accessories & Footwear. Main responsibilities include partnering with Leather Manager & Design to source materials within the desired aesthetic within the appropriate price point as well as troubleshoot quality issues as they arise. In addition, the Leather Assistant will be responsible for assisting the Raw Materials Team maintain the library and help with daily tasks such as the mail & invoices. Essential Duties & Responsibilities * Help manage and facilitate leather development for Polo & Lauren Accessories and Footwear. * Create, maintain & distribute the materials tracking chart. * Work as a liaison with Design, PD, Merchandising and Production teams as needed and in accordance to calendar deadlines. * Meet with suppliers to gather new materials for upcoming seasons based on designer needs. * Work with overseas RL offices as well as directly with overseas suppliers on material development. * Gather supplier information and material pricing and negotiate prices as necessary. * Work with regional materials teams on sourcing articles based on Design needs. * Work with PD to troubleshoot any foreseen issues during development. * Update and maintain material costing for distribution to cross functional teams prior to market opening. * Maintain price history report. * Maintain the materials library and organize the receipt of new supplier catalogs and material cuttings. * Send out mail weekly as needed. * Manage material invoices using Ariba system.
