Specific Responsibilities

  • Collaborate in managing the Planning Processes to meet volume, profit and inventory objectives

  • Execute the seasonal assortments and sales forecasts per season.

  • Adherence to the production development calendar.

  • Collaborate with cross functional teammates on key deliverables to mitigate risk and meet business goals

  • Create and issue sales KPI's and product performance reports on a weekly, monthly and seasonal basis.

  • Interface with other areas of the business as needed to ensure proper support and coordination of planning and product issues.

  • Communicate issues to Manager and recommend action to ensure inventory and financial objectives are met.

  • Special projects as assigned

Skills and Requirements

  • Advanced spreadsheet and presentation skills (Excel/PowerPoint)

  • Strong analytical and conceptual ability

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Retail or consumer products experience

  • Project management/consulting experience a plus

  • Must be able to act independently, multi-task and manage multiple projects and priorities

  • Routine deadlines with seasonal variance in work volume

  • May require travel

  • Involves occasional exposure to requests and deadlines from persons other than immediate supervisor.

The Sales Planner will also be responsible for managing day-to-day partner relationships and account management work Duties and Responsibilities Proposal Creation: * Liaison with partners to ensure that all contractual obligations are met * Coordinate with CFS group to establish credit clearance process and non-media billing procedures when applicable * Lead in the creation of proposals for incoming RFPs by creating media plans to meet advertiser and category objectives * Address client needs while highlighting our value and capabilities * Build media plans and schedule units based on inventory avails * Prepare and revise Upfront and Scatter sales plans that maximize the use of inventory while fulfilling agency/client requirements * Collaborate and brainstorm with the team in the creation of proactive and strategic proposals * Ensure media plans include accurate pricing and utilize approved products and available inventory and adhere to defined business processes to ensure optimal program performance * Complete additional projects as directed by Strategic Planning and Ad Sales Finance Management * Assist in the coordination of sales marketing materials Proposal Maintenance: * Work closely with Sales, Strategic Planning, and Commercial Ops to manage all preemptions and programming changes - recommend schedules according to availability, generate flow charts to reflect all changes, cancellation option and expansion options * Work closely with Inventory Managers to coordinate plan approvals Client Service: * Develop strong understanding of our products and solutions for advertisers * Assist in the creation of effective go to market tools for the sales team * Establish relationships with agency and advertiser partners * Respond to Sales requests about inventory, ad products, creative specifications, and research * Liaise with Sales, Strategic Planning, Ad Sales Finance, Commercial Ops, and Marketing to ensure sold schedules run Qualifications/Requirements Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree required * 1+ years related experience in media sales or buying Eligibility Requirements: * Interested candidates must submit a resume/CV through to be considered * Willingness to travel and work overtime, and on weekends with short notice * Must be willing to work in Universal City, CA * Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States * Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and internet research * Strong knowledge of media math and audience metrics Desired Characteristics * Possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills, ability to multi-task and handle projects independently, as well as part of a team * Ambitious and highly motivated * Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills NBC Universal Los Angeles CA
