Ingredion has a role for a Payroll Associate that will be responsible for processing the hourly staff payroll for the U.S./CAN plants.

Reports to: Payroll Manager

As the Payroll Associate your duties will include the following:

  • Ensure accurate preparation and balancing of semi-monthly and special payrolls, payroll balance sheet and summaries

  • Handle additions and changes to hourly payroll and payroll related items (i.e., salary changes, tax withholding, 401K loans and deferrals, general deductions etc.) using the different hourly payroll systems.

  • Handles various authorized payroll adjustments, e.g., garnishments, manual computation of gross and net pay, vacation pay, bonuses, dividends, etc.

  • Review all time & attendance reporting in time keeping system and follow up with Manager to ensure approval of hours.

  • Verify application of all pay rules per the union contract

  • Maintain compliance with Sarbanes Oxley reviews and testing procedures.

  • Reconciles Year-end tax information for hourly payrolls.

If you hold the following skills & qualifications, Ingredion wants you:

  • 3-5 years payroll experience

  • Knowledge of both US and Canadian payroll preferred

  • BS in Accounting/Finance and/or Business preferred. Prior work with multi state reporting is required

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel), ADP Enterprise, E-time/Kronos

  • Strong detail orientation with a high degree of accuracy in work

  • Time management and social skills

  • Confirmed analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Knowledge of accounting principles and practices

  • Flexibility to work extended hours to ensure payrolls are processed timely and accurately

  • Ability to work in a team environment and positively influence others

  • Maintain strict confidentiality while working with sensitive information
