Responsibilities

Faculty are expected to participate in Baylor Universitys mission and to demonstrate commitment to service in the larger community. The successful candidate is expected to develop their internationally recognized program of scholarly research, sustain external funding for their research program, publish research articles in major journals, and excel in teaching and mentoring at the graduate and undergraduate levels.

The rank and salary are commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to faculty labs, the University houses state-of-the-art instrumentation, including centers for microscopy and imaging, mass spectrometry, and molecular biosciences. Additional University resources include the Baylor Research and Innovation Collaborative (BRIC), a high-capacity research computing core, as well as the Synthesis and Drug-Lead Discovery Laboratory.

Required Qualifications

Successful candidates will have established an internationally-recognized research program. Applicants must provide evidence of significant research productivity sustained through external funding, and demonstrated by an excellent publication record. The successful candidate will hold a Ph.D. or equivalent in a biologically-related discipline and will have a competitive research record.
