An Associate Operator performs their job effectively by operating machinery using standard operating procedures while following company safety standards, maintaining quality through diligent effort and maintaining daily throughput goals.

The ability to communicate both verbally and written is required. Minimal computer skills and a basic understanding of process manufacturing is helpful but not required. The qualified candidate will be expected to report for an 8 hour shift (weekend shifts are 12 hours) most of which is standing and walking in an environment that is environmentally controlled.

Essential Functions:

  • Performs tasks according to written work instructions.

  • Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions

  • Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.

  • Follows prescribed safety regulations.

  • Maintains records as required.

  • Completes computerized transactions involving bar code scanning and data entry

Other Responsibilities:

  • Performs other work-related duties as assigned.

Education, Experience and Skills Required:

  • High School graduate or equivalent.

  • Must be able to pass hair and urine drug test.

  • One year of experience in a manufacturing environment required

  • Must read and comprehend English (verbal and written).

Special Requirements:

  • Must be able to work with other team members to achieve a common goal.

  • Must be able to exercise independent judgment at times.

  • Basic understanding of mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic principles preferred.

Production Operator II - UV Production Simpsonville, SC Position Summary This position is responsible for compounding batches as directed by production tickets to meet customer's orders and production requirements. Review shop order and package tickets to select the proper package or bulk vessels to load. Create proper labels to affix to containers. Place packaged material in stock or in shipping department for sales orders. Description * Follow safety procedures and wear proper PPE * Read and follow operating procedures including sequencing of opening and closing valves and pumps. * Load correct quantity of needed raw materials; monitor processes utilizing instruments/gauges; adjust process both manually and with computerized controls ; assure finish product meets quality specifications. * Forklift operation * Package pails, drums. * Complete batch tickets and any other production forms. * Staging production. * Be familiar with SAP. * Maintain good housekeeping standards. Required Skills Minimum Requirements * High School diploma or equivalent is required * Read and write English * Experience with scanners is a plus * May stand for long periods of time * Must be able to lift 50 lbs. * Will be required to stack 40 lb pails on pallets * Experience in using forklifts. * Computer Experience a must. * Must be able to work overtime when needed. * Attention to detail and numerical aptitude in order to assure accurate production batches. * Problem solving and troubleshooting capabilities to resolve workplace process problems. * Effective communication skills both written and verbal to communicate with other employees. * Sense of urgency and ability to complete multiple tasks in a timely manner in order to assure customer requirements are met. * Able to pass physical requirements for position, some heavy lifting and wearing of proper PPE including a full face respirator.
