An Associate Operator performs their job effectively by operating machinery using standard operating procedures while following company safety standards, maintaining quality through diligent effort and maintaining daily throughput goals.
The ability to communicate both verbally and written is required. Minimal computer skills and a basic understanding of process manufacturing is helpful but not required. The qualified candidate will be expected to report for an 8 hour shift (weekend shifts are 12 hours) most of which is standing and walking in an environment that is environmentally controlled.
Performs tasks according to written work instructions.
Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions
Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
Follows prescribed safety regulations.
Maintains records as required.
Completes computerized transactions involving bar code scanning and data entry
Education, Experience and Skills Required:
High School graduate or equivalent.
Must be able to pass hair and urine drug test.
One year of experience in a manufacturing environment required
Must read and comprehend English (verbal and written).
Must be able to work with other team members to achieve a common goal.
Must be able to exercise independent judgment at times.
Basic understanding of mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic principles preferred.
