Hours: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, Rotating Weekends

The Associate Nurse Manager reports directly to the Nurse Manager and oversees daily operations of assigned shift ensuring proper care is provided to all patients. The Associate Nurse Manager is accountable to ensure high quality, safe and appropriate nursing care, competency of clinical and support staff, and appropriate resource and service management related to patient care on assigned shift.

The Associate Nurse Manager must also ensure services and care are provided abiding by the policies and procedures of the organization, demonstrate fiscal responsibility and accountability. The Associate Nurse Manager plays a crucial role in assisting the Nurse Manager with strategic operations of the unit, conducting staff meetings, and all other responsibilities. The Associate Nurse Manager is knowledgeable of hospital policies and procedures, regulatory requirements and patient care standards.

Experience: Requires 3 to 5 years of related experience. Management experience is strongly preferred.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required.

Licensure Certification: Valid Florida RN license is required.

American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification with at least 6 months validity required. Must meet and maintain valid and current all unit specific and organizational skills/competencies, certifications/licensures, as required by regulatory and/or nursing standard of practice for the specialty.

Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work accurately while meeting multiple deadlines. Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form. Ability to handle difficult and stressful situations with professional composure.

Must have ability to clearly, accurately and effectively provide information to doctors, other nurses, patients, and family members.
