Morgan Stanley Fund Services Inc. seeks an Associate in Purchase, New York

Work as a member of the Investor Services (IS) team, responsible for transfer agency services and interactions with our clients' investors. Act as a primary contact point for fund investors and the fund manager.

Provide day-to-day support to both the fund manager and the investors in the fund. Mentor team members through instruction, providing real-time experiences, modeling effective practices, advising on fund administration processes and methods used. Keep line management appraised of operational issues.

Open new investor accounts and process investor transactions, ensuring compliance with the fund documentation, anti-money laundering requirements, statutory regulations and company policies and procedures. Process the investor capital activities and cash movements. Maintain accurate fund records.

Provide investors and their nominees with fund OM package, statements, contract notes, K1 and other documentation. Produce Management Information Systems (MIS) and other internal operational reports. Collaborate with internal team and client to process audit confirmation, wire change, contact update and other Ad hoc request. Work with IT team on new product development and enhancement.

Salary: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $113,000 and $120,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.

Requirements:

Requires a Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field of study and two (2) years of experience in the position offered or two (2) years as a Financial Analyst, or a closely related occupation. Requires two (2) years of experience with:

Private Equity, FoFs, Real-estate Funds, Hedge Funds, and Securities; Fund offering documents including Fund Memorandum, LPA, Subscription documents, Fund structure, Key terms, Tax structure, and Accounting reporting; Investor onboarding/offboarding: CDD/EDD review, and KYC&AML review; regulations pertaining to domicile of the fund being serviced; Capital transaction processing: Subscription, Commitment, Redemption, Withdrawal, Transfer, Payment, Data change, and Wire Instruction change; Data processing and maintaining including Accurate Investor's records, Fund's transactions, Holdings, Performance, and Liquidity term and schedule; Fund reporting and delivery including Fund accounting, Interest accruals, Management fee, Carry fee, Investor's financial report, Portfolio statistics, Factsheet, Statement, CFTC report, and Contract notes; Regulatory filling and support including Anti-money-laundering, SEC requirement, Statutory regulations, Risk policies and procedures, Tax reporting support, K-1, FATCA/CRS filing, and Audit support; IT software including CRM system, Cash management system, Online form, Investor portal, Access, and SQL; Workflow and system enhancement including test & identify the expose defect and associated risk of the platform, technology, and workflows to increase the efficiency and accuracy of Fund operational procedures and data; investor servicing.
