Job location: Hershey, PA.
The Shopper Insights Associate Manager will develop and deliver best in class shopper insights for their assigned channel and retail customer. This position will provide Sales and Category Management teams with objective, comprehensive, shopper-based insights and will drive actionable recommendations based upon that information. This position will be located in Hershey, PA and will function as the shopper insights partner for the Convenience Channel category management and sales teams, reporting into the Senior Manager of Shopper Insights.
The individual in this role will partner with the Sales and CSI teams, external research agencies and Key Retailer Buyer and Insights partners to be the Shopper Expert.
Proactively understand key business issues; suggest, design, implement and analyze Shopper data to address these issues; and provide actionable recommendations based on the research results.
The Shopper Insights Associate Manager will be expected to integrate information from multiple sources to provide larger perspective on recommendations and will require development of fluency across various data sources.
The individual in this position will be expected to prepare and present unbiased, action-oriented recommendations from the research to varying levels within Hershey and the retail customer.
The Shopper Insights Associate Manager will also be required to interact directly and regularly with the retailer, expanding Hershey's retail relationships.
Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects and business partner interactions.
Seek out new research methods and suppliers to develop more in-depth business insights and actionable recommendations to either build on current success or capitalize on new opportunities.
Partner with the senior manager of shopper insights and cross-functional partners to co-create the convenience channel learning plan.
Education: Bachelor's Degree Required At least
2-4 years of Consumer, Shopper Insights and/or Category Management Experience
Ability to build dynamic relationships with Key Decision Makers (KDM) and comfortable interacting with decions makers at both junior and senior levels of the organization.
Prior knowledge or work experience with qualitative (including focus groups, 1-1s, ethnographies, etc.) and quantitative (mobile device, web/online, telephone, etc.) research methods, panel data such as Nielsen, IRI or Loyalty.
25% - 35% travel required.
