Associate Merchant

About Role

Ring Concierge is a rapidly growing female-founded fine jewelry company specializing in customized engagement rings and fine jewelry. We are seeking an Associate Merchant to become an integral part of our team. The Associate Merchant will play a crucial role in driving sales and ensuring the success of the bridal category at Ring Concierge. This role will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, marketing, and the Bespoke sales team. The ideal candidate is a self-starter and has the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee category management of wedding bands, ready to ship engagement rings, and signature settings. Determine selection for the diamond feed. Create a customer-first omnichannel assortment strategy based on historical sales, market data, and customer insights.

• Analyze competitive landscape to identify assortment white-space opportunities and product development needs to capture market share; work closely with Product Development team to deliver products on time, and within budget.

• Evaluate in-store Bridal merchandise assortment and make necessary adjustments.

• Set the pricing strategy; establish ongoing processes to adjust for market volatility.

• Build reporting and tools that provide visibility into margin trends and pricing opportunities.

• Partner with Brand Marketing to build a calendar and roadmap of activities to support the Bridal category during key seasonal moments. Collaborate on needs for effective storytelling to bring strategic vision to life and achieve financial goals.

• Analyze KPIs daily to identify opportunities for increased sales, profit, and conversion; effectively present findings and recommendations to leadership.

• Partner with Planning to ensure healthy in-stock levels of key hero products across channels.

• Partner with Site Merchandising to optimize user experience and ensure a best in class customer journey. Ensure seasonal trends and holidays are reflected across site assets.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information in a clear and composed manner

• Strong independent problem-solving skills; solution-oriented

• Self starter; eager to learn and always looking around the corner for the next opportunity

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree

• 3+ years of relevant experience

• Strong Excel, PowerPoint, and GoogleSuite skills

• Knowledge of Shopify preferred, but not required

• Full-time role located in midtown NYC

• Hybrid work model

• Office Hours: 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, with the knowledge that we have a startup culture and your day may extend past listed office hours.

• The salary range for this position is $70,000-80,000, commensurate with experience
