  • Deliver sales and margin plans for the business unit

  • Create 18-24 month bottom up financial plans by product classification aligned to top-down financial targets, establishing annual budgets and open to buy

  • As part of the buy process, create financial plans for area of responsibility, partnering with the buyer and planner on pricing and promotional strategy while working toward top down financial targets

  • In partnership with the buyer/associate buyer and support from planner, establish inventory flow plans to determine initial launch quantities and replenishment flow

  • In partnership with the buyer/associate buyer and support from planner, align strategies (store assortments, pricing, buy quantities) to achieve the financial plans

  • Execute monthly and quarterly re-forecast of financial plans while maintaining annual alignment to top-down goals

  • Reforecast sales, pricing, margin and inventory based on current trends, weekly and as needed. Provide analytical support to the buyer quantifying impact of strategic, promotion and assortment changes

  • Based on revised weekly/quarterly forecasts, identify performance issues versus plan and partner with buyer and planner to develop strategy to offset changes

  • Manage in-season pricing weekly, with partnership of buyer, to determine appropriate price changes and markdowns necessary to achieve quarterly unit sales plan while maximizing margin

  • Build a partnership with merchandise analysts in executing store receipts, strategies, buy targets, launch minimums, and program setups

  • Provide ad hoc business reports and analysis as needed

  • Seasonal Buy Review preparation and presentation to Leadership Team and cross functional partners

  • Communicate with Planner, Buyer/Associate Buyer, Merchandise Analyst, Assistant Buyer, VP of Planning & Allocation and/or Director of Planning & Allocation, IT, and others as needed

  • Make recommendations to buying partners on markdowns, plans, and assortments

Experience and Skills

  • 2-4 years of experience in allocation, planning principles, retail fundamentals, financial budgeting ad hoc reporting and analysis

  • Planning principles, financial budgeting, retail fundamentals, ad hoc reporting and analysis

  • Strong analytical skills, proficient with allocation and planning systems (e.g. JDA), proficient with Microsoft Excel, proficient with reporting systems (e.g. Microstrategy)

  • Work cross-functionally with Merchandise Analyst and Buying/Merchandising team

  • Bachelors degree required

The Truck Processing Team supports the intake and merchandising of our store product. This position covers our three Atlanta locations-Alpharetta, Perimiter, and Buckhead.
