Seasons Hospice & Palliative Care is seeking a Associate Medical Director - Visit Physician to join our team of professionals. We make a difference every day to patients and families coping with end of life illness in creating a center of excellence in hospice care.

Overview

The physician is qualified to provide inpatient medical care to hospice patients who require hospitalization for symptom management or respite care. The physician is committed to making hospice services available to all those who would benefit and participates in on-going educational programs to increase their expertise in caring for hospice patients. In addition, the hospice physician will work effectively and communicate well with the members of the hospice team and fulfill all other requirements of the position.

Qualifications

Is licensed to provide medical care and is a medical staff member in good standing with admitting privileges at least one hospital.

Complete the Seasons Hospice orientation for hospice physicians within six months of their effective employment date.

Demonstrated commitment to Seasons Hospice's philosophy of care, values, mission statement and organizational culture.

What You Will Do Ascension MI at Work, located in SE Michigan, is seeking a contingent physician due to growth. Ascension MI at Work is a well-established department that is committed to providing the highest quality occupational health and wellness services to the business community. Due to growth and established relationships, Occupational Health Partners is the largest hospital based program in the State of Michigan, while maintaining outstanding patient satisfaction scores and proven track record of reducing costs and lost work time. Ascension MI at Work provides care at eight locations within metro Detroit. The average number of visits is 40 patients per day per clinic. Types of outpatient visits include Workers Compensation/Injury Care, Physical Examinations (Executive Health, Pre-Hire, DOT, Firefighter, Police, Annual, Hazmat, Wellness), Fitness for Duty Exams, and Job Duty Assessments. On-site ancillary services include audiograms, drug screens, EKG, pulmonary function testing, respirator clearance, and vision exams. Office hours are Monday – Friday from 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. There is no call, weekend shifts or holiday work schedule associated with this opportunity. The Occupational Health Physician provides direct patient care in an office setting by: * Providing ongoing guidance for occupational clinic activities; ensuring care/medical direction is of the highest caliber; completion of federally-regulated and agency-mandated examinations (medical surveillance, return to work, etc.), health screenings, employee health consultations, and work related injury care * Conducting hands-on examinations, rendering a professional opinion as it relates to work clearances or recommendations consistent with the examination findings and established physical qualifications * Demonstrating a strong ability to work and communicate effectively Day time hours schedule, no call, no weekend shifts or holiday work schedule associated with this opportunity! What You Will Need Licenses/Certifications/Registration: * Required Credential(s): * Physician MD/DO with Prescriptive Authority credentialed from the Michigan Board of Medicine obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
