Our patient-centric Primary Care clinics are dispersed across Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN. We are thrilled to serve the Twin Cities metro in our clinics located in Highland Park (St. Paul), Crystal, and South Minneapolis with new clinics launching soon in both Rosedale and Eagan. About the Associate Medical Director Role:
The Associate Medical Director is focused on providing oversight of all clinicians at their clinic site and partnering with the Site Clinic Manager to oversee clinical operations and drive clinical and operational performance to achieve company goals. They will participate in hiring, onboarding, training, and career development of clinicians. In addition, this role is critical in supporting the culture of being the best place to work. Most importantly, they will be a leader in facilitating curiosity, love, and caring both for patients and the entire clinical team through modeling such behaviors and encouraging a culture of learning and opportunity. The role will ensure the delivery of quality care and services as designed and in accordance with the company's culture. In addition, they will assist with the development, implementation, management, and achievement of specific programs/site objectives and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Dyad Team Leadership
In partnership with Clinic Manager, builds a positive and welcoming approach to patient care for older adult women that orients teams towards person-centered care and preventing progression of chronic disease.
Collaborates closely with Clinic Manager to identify and participate in design and roll out of all new processes and projects
Together with the Clinic Manager, the dyad ensures that site clinical and operational metrics meet or exceed organizational goals
Responds to patient complaints that have a clinical component or involve a provider
Provide oversight of the clinician staff, including scope of practice, role in interdisciplinary care team, training, Continuing Medical Education, and ongoing programming or development opportunities.
Develop and encourage each clinical provider as they become experts in person-centered care, women's health, Geriatrics/Palliative Care, and value-based care.
Collaborate with Regional Medical Director and talent leaders in hiring, onboarding, training, and development of physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants at clinic site
Participate in PCP meetings and site huddles to ensure quality, evidence-based practices and superior patient experience and outcomes.
Clinical Practice
The Site Provider Lead will have 80-90% direct patient care responsibilities and will manage their own patient panel
Maintain their clinical skills, be an exceptional leader in person-centered care delivery
Oversee the management of all clinic patients through empowering and ensuring care provided meets appropriate evidence- and value-based care standards. This includes understanding diagnosis, treatment, counseling, medication management, acute triage and follow up care.
Must-have Qualifications and Skills:
Current 1.0 FTE
MD/DO requirement
Practicing provider for at least 3 years
Proven clinical leadership and ability to develop high performing clinical teams
Demonstrated reliability, responsiveness, and respect to members, families, and team members, which includes a learning mindset, a keen ability to show empathy and lead through compassion and works collaboratively across disciplines and across the organization to reach a common goal.
Skills in creating an environment of clinical and organizational effectiveness in providing primary care for adults, with a focus on care of women, by continually assessing and improving services, programs, and processes to create ongoing and new value for members and employees, including quality improvement, utilization of services evaluation, peer review, and clinical and biopsychosocial program expansion.
Ability to maintain good working relationships with various stakeholder groups.
Ability to be hands-on, adaptable, focused, flexible, data-driven, and results-oriented, with medical directorship experience preferred.
Active and unrestricted license to practice medicine in designated state and active DEA license
Clinical skills and knowledge of adult primary care processes and treatments in the areas of prevention, acute and chronic disease management, older women's health, end of life, and applicable behavioral health care.
Experience in management or supervisory role
